4、Nobody really says it until they get here, but in college I worked in the international students office and my friends from out of state have said similar things, Oklahomans are exceptionally friendly.

Getting drunk all night and puking on the subway during morning rush hour. taking up an entire subway bench by sleeping. Cutting in front of you in line. I could go on. New Yorkers are assholes.

Typically the main reason is cost of living (Central coast of CA the average cost of a 2bd apartment is 2400/month) lots of new taxes and fees hitting in the last few years (Gas tax increases, massive car registration increases, etc), all of these things add up and many friends use the phrase "Squeezing water from rocks" when referring to how they feel about the CoL and taxes, many feel that every time they take one step forward CA comes in and knocks them two steps back etc.
