TMRE，是一種線粒體特異性染料 (λex=550 nm，λem=575 nm)。在上皮細(xì)胞中觀察到TMRE的多向動(dòng)態(tài)運(yùn)動(dòng)，并且在活牛眼鏡片的淺層皮質(zhì)纖維細(xì)胞中觀察到雙向動(dòng)態(tài)運(yùn)動(dòng)。在上皮細(xì)胞中，TMRE熒光的移動(dòng)高達(dá)5μm/ min，而在淺表皮質(zhì)中，觀察到的移動(dòng)高達(dá)18.5μm/ min。通過處理解偶聯(lián)劑羰基氰化物間氯苯腙（CCCP）來消除TMRE熒光的運(yùn)動(dòng)。
