After discovering minimalism, I became highly aware of just how often I'd been conditioned to upgrade mystuff.
Brands do a great job at convincing us,
We need to replace our phones, computers, and kitchen appliances every couple of years, and I'm guilty of buying into the hype.
But do we really *need* to make the upgrade?
Will those extra pixels, different buttons, and a new sleek design make a noticeable improvement to our lives or to our creations?
Or will we find joy in it for 2 days and look forward to the next upgrade?
Of course, that's up to you to decide.
If this make a difference in your life, you do need this upgrade, cuz your current phone’s battery life is crap or you depend on this camera to work
And you are financially capable, feel free to do it, cuz it creates value for us.
But you may find that the phone or laptop you have now meets your needs just fine.
Maybe if you choose not to upgrade so soon, you'd be able to pay down more of your debt
and you could save one less thing from ending up in a landfill.
