When Game Freak took time during Nintendo’s E3 2017 press conference to reveal that a Pokemon RPG is in development for Switch, fans of the role-playing game franchise were ecstatic, as it meant that the long-standing demand for a “core” entry in the franchise to be playable on a console was finally being addressed. However, while fans’ excitement for the forthcoming release is understandable to say the least, Game Freak’s series director/producer/composer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori hope players’ expectations aren’t “too high.

近日這兩位制作人接受了媒體的采訪，增田順一提到他完全理解粉絲們對(duì)于NS上《精靈寶可夢(mèng)》的熱情，但希望粉絲們能夠“降下溫”。大森茂表示開發(fā)組正在全力以赴，但開發(fā)過程存在極大的困難，因此希望粉絲們不要把期待值設(shè)定得太高。

Masuda and Ohmori revealed as much during a recent video interview with Game Informer, with Masuda mentioning that while he totally gets why fans are anxious for the Pokemon Switch title, he also hopes fans are able to temper their excitement somewhat. In a followup response to Ohmori’s statement saying that Game Freak will “do [its] best to create a great game” to meet certain expectations, Masuda said, “Of course, it is very difficult to make the game, so I hope people don’t get their expectations up too high.”

兩位制作人當(dāng)然不會(huì)把話說得太滿，他們也不想讓粉絲們失望。不過對(duì)于NS上的寶可夢(mèng)作品，核心玩家無論如何都不會(huì)降低自己的期待值，而隨著發(fā)售日的臨近他們的期待會(huì)越來越高。兩個(gè)月前任天堂北美分部老大雷吉曾公布過這部作品的若干細(xì)節(jié)，但他并沒表示這部作品和過去一樣是以“收集、培養(yǎng)和戰(zhàn)斗”為主。究竟這部作品會(huì)有怎樣的變化，恐怕只能等發(fā)售日那天才能知曉了。

While Masuda and Ohomori want to do right by fans and Game Freak alike by not disappointing them with the Pokemon Switch title, it’s going to be hard for many hardcore fans to reduce their anticipation for the forthcoming RPG, especially since Nintendo has already given out a release window of sorts for the game. On the other hand, with little else to go on other than the knowledge that a main entry in the franchise will finally be coming consoles, perhaps most everyone will be able to contain their fanaticism for a while – at least until a gameplay trailer is shown.

而對(duì)于首次開發(fā)制作Switch平臺(tái)的游戲，兩位制作人均表示這將會(huì)是一個(gè)很大的挑戰(zhàn)，傳統(tǒng)的家用機(jī)是通過連接大屏幕中的設(shè)備進(jìn)行游戲的，而將一個(gè)以掌機(jī)為主的游戲移植到家用機(jī)平臺(tái)，將會(huì)面臨著許許多多前所未有的挑戰(zhàn)。此前任天堂美國的總裁雷吉談及Switch版本的精靈寶可夢(mèng)游戲的時(shí)候也表示，會(huì)遵循系列作品中的“發(fā)現(xiàn)，戰(zhàn)斗，積累經(jīng)驗(yàn)”的要素，但是對(duì)于具體的細(xì)節(jié)，雷吉并沒有進(jìn)行確切的說明。

About a couple of months ago, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime shared some game details for the Pokemon Switch title, but he didn’t reveal much other than to say it will be “a traditional find, battle, train type experience.” So, with the Pokemon game for Switch still in the very early stages of development, there’s no telling what the final product will look and play like once it’s finished, so perhaps it’s best to take Masuda’s advice and not get too hyped up just yet.

最后，兩位制作人再次表示Switch版本的寶可夢(mèng)游戲新作已經(jīng)在制作當(dāng)中，由于是在新平臺(tái)開發(fā)的原因，因此制作過程需要比以往花費(fèi)更多的時(shí)間。至于新作具體的公開時(shí)間，恐怕最少要到2018年以后了，還請(qǐng)喜愛和關(guān)注本作的玩家能夠多多期待。

是什么問題呢？竟然說得如此絕對(duì)。采訪者緊接著說道：“眾所周知?dú)v代游戲中主人公家里都會(huì)擺放一臺(tái)任天堂的主機(jī)”，沒錯(cuò)，從《初代》的FC，《寶石》的N64，《珍鉆》的Wii，《XY》的WiiU，到如今《日月》的Switch，主人公的家里總是少不了任天堂家用掌機(jī)的陪伴。

那么問題來了，如果接下來的新作是登陸NS平臺(tái)的話，那意味著以后可能會(huì)出現(xiàn)玩家用Switch操控者游戲主人公玩Switch的畫面了。。

關(guān)于這個(gè)問題，兩位制作人似乎是被問住了，尷尬一笑，表示現(xiàn)在也還沒想好該怎么做。。
