Meet the Jetson ONE. Swedish company Jetson unveiled its first personal aerial vehicle. The electric flying craft, resembling a Speeder Bike out of Star Wars, can reach 102km/h (63mph) and costs US$92,000.

It looks like a large drone. This is a step towards modern transportation but unfortunately this type of technology isn’t suitable for metropolitan cities, maybe rural towns. Imagine trying to fly this thing around rush hour traffic, near a condos/apartments buildings, restaurants, malls.

Very cool, but likely to be illegal to fly and operate in most 1st world countries, especially in high density areas, without a pilots' license. The aircraft would likely need to be stored in expensive hangars too, as taking off from any residential place would be a big no no.

im sure that was said about cars too
Alexander-Maurice Mill (Amlaeuxrai)
I believe the launch from residential areas depends on how loud it is, for which we don't have a reference point from this video. Besides, I believe laws in most 1st world countries would classify it as a small heli- or gyrocopter, which don't usually need hangars anyway.
Trevor Doge
I wonder if you could get away with it in a third world country . . . Perhaps your private island

1980: "I bet there will be flying cars in the future"
2021: "Finally, some progress"

wdym some progress, flying cars exist for a long time already, the only problem is the safety reasons
Bucket Head
It’s a freaking drone. It’s not a car.

I’ve watched a few videos about what this futuristic-looking craft can do but have yet to hear the actual noise it makes when flying. I have a feeling it’s not that quiet.

And not to mention the head chopping off propellers.

Make sense. Heck, even tank were silence than the jetson one.

That looks awesome, but if there are 30,000 of them flying around you in a city, that sounds crazy. Of course in the future, maybe 6G or 7G or whatever communication will control the flight to
make it orderly.
