Let's clean up the space junk orbiting earth?
By Natalie Panek?
Daily things rely on satellites, and desire our attention on information, entertainment and communication. She use a metaphor describing end-life satellites as abandoned car on the highway. In the paradigm of satellite industry, there is no international law to clean universe. World has three launch tank sending more satellites into the space. There are more than 900 satellites being launched into universe. The common place of the satellites is the low earth track. The geology of satellite on the orbit is for TV, Commerce, remaining for centuries. 7000 satellites with one sevenths work space.?
However there is not any long term guideline in limiting the future of degree junks in the universe. No matter the local non-profit pay for recycling or volunteer pay for the recycling.
The difficult points to collect the satellites is that it is remote operate that are not reached in new heights and satellite break down has a high cost.?
We probably need to charge deposit for the satellites and improve the satellites location technology. UK has an end-life proposal by using robotic arms to clean up the space satellites. However, it needs the support of technical, political laws and sustainable. We cannot launch any new satellites before we figure how to recycle.?
