I agree on some part, but I do not agree with some parts1. Wei Yan's surprise attach at Zhuge Liang's point of view was too dangerous. For Shu Han, every single battle is critical. 5000 troops lost? How about loss of Wei Yan. In terms of being a good general, Zhang He was as good as Wei Yan. However, did Wei get in trouble seriously after Zhang He's Also, novel over-exaggerates the number of solders in Three Kingdom period. Zhuge probably had about 50,000 to do Northern Expedition.2.

My favourite characters were Zhuge Liang, Sima Yi, Cao Cao cause he cracked me up, Sun Jian for his bad assery and Sun Quan because of how tricky he is. Watching Sun Quan and Cao Cao was like watching the comedy duo or something.

When compared to Red Cliff though Sun Quan was the only character in that movie that had any real depth. Everyone else just seemed like a one dimensional stereotype. So you can really compare this series to a movie and see how every character has more depth than the ones in the John Woo film.
