Although?there is possible drawback, I tend to believe this development generates more positive?outcomes.?Admittedly, the trend toward growing appliance use?results in problems. These electrical appliances consume a significant amount of electricity or gas, therefore increasing demand for energy and intensifying the energy crisis. Also, both production and use of appliances cause large amounts of pollution to be emitted, which subsequently causes damage to the environment. Things are becoming worse as many people understand very little about appliance energy use, efficiency or energy cost.

However, the disadvantages are outweighed by the advantages.?The primary benefit is that these domestic appliances provide critical services that help people have a better quality of life. Diets have evolved because a refrigerator allows the modern family to keep food fresh for longer than before. Therefore, they can create menus and shop ahead for ingredients they need for any diet. A washing machine is a huge time saver over hand washing as it eliminates the efforts needed to wash clothes.?From an economic perspective, the popularity of these machines promotes the development of economy. Producers and retailers are bounded to gain profits from the growing appliance use and thus creates tax revenue for the government. Besides, a large number of people are employed to provide services in the whole industry.?In conclusion, my view is that the increasing use of household appliances is a desirable trend as our life and our economy benefit significantly from this trend.
