Population transformation
As is indicated in the diagram, China has experienced a tremendous population transformation in thepast few decades. However, different age groups show different trends. Tо be more specific, populationbelow 15 years old and between 15 and 65 have experienced a decreasing trend since 1975 and 2015 whileon the other hand population above 65 years old has been on the rise since 1975. The impacts of China's population transformation trend are not difficult to tell. First and foremost, social labor population decreases. So we are facing an unfavorable trend that fewer and fewer young andmiddle aged labor will have to support more and more old and dependent people or little kids in our society. In addition, the increase in the aging population means more medical expenses. It is high time we should take effective measures to deal with this problem. First, we need encouragechildbirth more vigorously. Govenment aids are also necessary to those couples who want to add morechildren to their families. Besides increasing birth rate, elders above 65 years old can also be encouraged tomaintain their job so that they can still make contributions to our society.
