【我因你們而存在.為別人喝彩就是為自己鋪路】

? ? ? ??阿湯哥回顧自己小時候就熱愛電影，后來有機會演電影，讓他對這個行業(yè)產(chǎn)生了巨大的熱情并決定堅持下去。電影的制作過程很復雜，這個過程需要學習的東西很多，他有過很多思考，希望自己在這個行業(yè)能站穩(wěn)。

? ? ? ??他說：我喜歡看到別人獲得成就，我知道實現(xiàn)目標需要付出什么。取得成就不是隨隨便便就可以。這不僅僅是運氣的問題。你必須自己創(chuàng)造這種運氣。你必須堅信它的存在。

My whole life, I want to make movies.I wanted to travel the world.I wanted adventure.As a kid, I'd create characters. I wrote stories to entertain my family and friends.So anyway there I was.?

我一生都想拍電影。我想去環(huán)游世界。我想去冒險。我在小時候，就會創(chuàng)造角色。我會寫故事，給家人或朋友們提供娛樂。這些就是我的童年。

I was 18 years old in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, and I wasn't watching a movie.I was on a set making one and I have to say it was quite surreal.

后來，等我到了18歲，我住在賓夕法尼亞州的福吉谷我就不是看電影了。我后來就開始拍電影了，我不得不說這一切真的令人難以置信。

And I have to say, I was absolutely amazed by the craftsmanship and also the tremendous efforts that it took to make a film.

And I was also,I was overwhelmed.I was overwhelmed by what I didn't know.I mean, here's this moment, something that I had dreamed of my life's passion. It was cinematic storytelling, and the door was opening, and I didn't want it to close.

I mean, this is something that I was absolutely certain that I wanted to do for the rest of my life?and I thought, I will never ever take this for granted.

我非常肯定的是，這是我余生都想要做的事業(yè)，當然我也絕不會把我所獲得的一切視為理所當然。

I thought how do I become competent at this?How am I going to figure out all of these tools of this art form, tell the stories that I want to tell, affect an audience?I had these goals. Very goal-oriented.

我也曾思考我要如何才能勝任這份工作?我要如何運用這種藝術形式來講述我想講的故事，進而去影響觀眾？我有很多目標，我是一個不達目的不罷休的人。

I had filmmakers and writers and producers and just people within our industry that I wanted to talk to, I wanted to interview. And I think maybe after I interviewed them, they felt more like it was an interrogation. But I wanted to understand what storytelling was to them.

我身邊到處都是這個行業(yè)的電影制作人、作家、制片人，我想和他們交流，我想采訪他們。哪怕也許在我采訪他們之后，他們會覺得這像是一場審訊但我真的很想知道，講故事對他們來說意味著什么。

And you facilitated this brilliantly, feeding my passion encouraging it. And I always thought that, if I could make movies, if I could be competent at this, and if the movies made their money back.

正是你們促成了這一切，這一切一直刺激著我的激情并鼓勵著我。我一直認為，如果我能拍電影，我能勝任這份工作，電影就能賺回錢。

And then some, everyone get their Christmas bonuses.I'd be able to go out and I could make some more movies.And possibly, I'd create the opportunities for other filmmakers to do the same.

I like to see people do well, I've been around a while. I know what it takes to do what you do. And I know that things don't just happen.It's not just luck, you have to create that luck.You have to will it into existence.?

And I want you to know that I am always rooting for you.I'm rooting for all of you. The better you do in life and in your work the better every studio does, the better every film does. The better we do all, the better it is for everyone.So I look forward to seeing what you create in the future.

And I will continue to do all that I can to contribute and help this industry and this art form that I love.

And it is the idea that humanity is based on the plural, not the singular. And “Ubuntu” means essentially: I am because we are. And so I thank all of you,I am because you are.
