小學(xué)會話課說課稿 What time does your school start?
說課稿
Good morning/afternoon everyone, I’m NO ----. It’s my great honor to present my lesson here. Today, my topic is What time does your school start. To make my presentation much clearer, I’d like to divide the teaching structure into the following parts: analysis of teaching material, students, teaching and learning methods, teaching procedure and blackboard design. Now I am about to present them one by one.
1.??? The first part is the analysis of teaching material
Today's lesson is from Unit 8, Book 5, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. Its main theme is school life, which is a quite useful topic.? Hence, Ss will learn how to talk about school life in a real situation and introduce their own life. English classes in grade 5 get much closer with Ss' real life, accordingly, the topic of this grade became more practical. According to the demands of the New Standard English, I divide my lesson objectives into three categories: knowledge objects, ability objects and moral objects.
The knowledge objects include to listen, read and speak new words:exercise, playground, skip, coffee, tea...Besides, Ss are able to listen, speak read and master the sentence structure:What time does your school start? My school starts at 8'o'clock. What time do you get up? I get up at sis thirty.
Ability objects contain to use the sentence pattern What time do/does....? to talk about topics of daily life, and describe life in school.
At last moves to moral objects. The moral objects are to cultivate Ss’ awareness of loving their school.
Based on the objectives, I make the teaching key points and difficult points as follow.
Teaching key points include: How to help the Ss use the sentence pattern “What time do/does....?” to talk about their daily life and school life.
While the teaching difficult points is to use the sentence pattern to describe their school properly and accurately.
2.??? The second part is analysis of students.
Students of Grade 5 have studied English for more than 2 years and grasped a certain amount of English knowledge. They are eager to show, eager to learn. They can cooperate with their classmates to finish a task. On the other hand, students' ability of using English is limited; their abstract thinking is not fully developed and they can be easily distracted. Therefore, all of these shall be taken into consideration in today's teaching.
?
3.??? Then I move to the third part analysis of teaching and learning methods.
?? The teaching methods which will be used are task-based language teaching and communicative approach, because modern foreign language teaching emphasizes that students should be encouraged to develop effective learning strategies and autonomous learning abilities by means of experiencing, practicing, participating, exploring and cooperating under the teacher’s guidance.
As for learning methods, ss will learn through independent reading, discussing and cooperating.
4.??? Teaching procedure is the forth part of my teaching structure.
In order to achieve my teaching aims successfully I divide my teaching procedure into 6 steps: : Leading-in, Presentation, Practice, Consolidation, Summary and Homework.
Step 1: lead- in
Now let’s come to the first step.
Firstly, I'll greet with my Ss in different ways for warming up. Then, chant like this:
Get up, get up. I get up at 7:00.
Go to school, go to school. I go to school at 3:00.
Watch TV, watch TV.? I watch TV at 5 o'clock.
Go to bed, go to bed.? I go to bed at 9 o'clock. Of course, this chant will be shown on PPT. By doing So, the topic can be led in in a relaxed atmosphere.
Step 2: Presentation
Create a situation that Daming wants to introduce himself to us to teach new words playground, skip, exercise, tea..., and elicit the sentence pattern “What time does Daming get up?”
Show pictures of Lingling and Amy. Ss listen to the dialogue for the first time to find out the main idea of the dialogue.
Ss listen to the tape again and fill in the blanks
Lingling: What time ___ your school start?
Amy: My school starts _____ in the morning.
Lingling: What time do you get up?
Amy: I____ at half past seven.?
This step aims to help the Ss have a good understanding of new words and sentence pattern. Besides, it is important to understand/comprehend the dialogue.? So, by listening to the tape again and again and learning words in a meaningful situation, the targets of this step can be achieved easily.
Step 3: Practice
To help Ss have a good command of new words and sentence pattern, I set up the following two activities:
Activity 1: Ss role play the dialogue of Lingling and Amy. Then, listen? and role play Part 3 Listen and say.
Activity 2: Ss make a new dialogue using the sentence pattern. Then, play a game “Sentence pattern” to relax the class atmosphere.
?The communicative approach is used to help students express their ideas freely to exercise their listening and speaking skill by using language they learnt this class.
Step 4:Consolidation
In this step I design 3 activities. The first one is to divide the Ss ?into six groups to find out their partners daily timetable. The second one is Ask and Answer. The questions are A: Hello, Amy, what time do you get up? What time do you eat lunch? Answers ?B: I get up at 7 o'clock. I eat lunch at 12 o’clock. Then, each group choose a representative to introduce your partner' life in this way:
Her name is...
She gets up at..
Her school starts at...
in this process, The task based teaching approach is used to develop Ss' comprehensive ability of using language.
Step5: Summary
Students summarize what they have learned today and I will give supplement and let the students to know that they should love our school.?
By doing so, Ss can have a good review of what they' ve learnt by summarizing themselves, which reflects the principle of “regard students as the corpus, the teacher inspires for predominance” very well.
Step6: Homework
Ss are encouraged to do a survey to find out their friends or family members daily activities. Next class, share their findings.
The homework is not only closely related to what we have learned in the class, but also closely related to students’ daily life, so it is effective to improve students’ ability of communication in the real situation, and at the same time review the knowledge of this lesson.
The final step is the blackboard design. On the blackboard, I wrote the main idea of this passage. Then the language points of key words are presented. In this way, students could see what they have learned clearly and get the main structure of the passage.
That’s all for my presentation. Thanks for your attention.
