Personal Statement是對我們簡歷中重點經歷的細化，也是把我們大學之后的生活有邏輯的，重點突出的呈現(xiàn)給招生官的重要途經。

在開頭段，我們需要把自己對專業(yè)的熱愛，職業(yè)規(guī)劃，專業(yè)的理解進行簡單的提及。

常見的錯誤操作

①用自己小時候的故事作為引入（比如我從小就喜歡樂高）

②使用名言警句

③說空話沒有具體內容（比如advertising is very important for a business）

④沒有為下文的思路起到總起的作用

⑤開頭段有太多的細節(jié)，會和后文的論述重復

錯誤開頭 (以歷史專業(yè)為例)

Since a little child, I have read many historical stories. Therefore, I chose to pursue an undergraduate program in History three years ago. In the future, I want to pursue a master’s program at XXX which is known for its high reputation and extensive social network.

錯誤原因

①這種喜歡來的太隨意了，沒有事實佐證。同時，也不能體現(xiàn)我們作為歷史專業(yè)的同學，對本專業(yè)的深刻見解。

②在開頭段可以簡單提及自己的職業(yè)規(guī)劃，這樣會更好地和學校以及我們的申請進行匹配。

③開頭段是全文的總起。所以我們要在第一段盡可能多的涉及一些信息，方便我們在后文進行拓展。

④因為學校好所以才去申請，這個理由缺少誠意，也不能體現(xiàn)我們對這個項目的了解。

修改版

History is not only a subject telling us the past but also a lighthouse directing our future actions. Analyzing influential domestic and overseas historical events insightfully is a crucial foundation for leaders to make far-sighted policies. Therefore, I decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in History at the University of XX. The more I knew about the modern his-tory of the world, the stronger desire I had to upgrade our current policies in all conceivable fields by learning lessons from the past. After finishing my postgraduate education at YY, I plan to work for governments in underdeveloped regions as a consultant and contribute to the betterment of society by conducting in-depth analysis of local development history.

修改版解析

PS沒有固定的內容，但是有相對比較經典的文章結構。就開頭段來講，我們比較建議涉及一下內容：

①選擇本科專業(yè)的原因 —?修改版中提到了歷史對我們今后行為的指導作用；

②自己大致的職業(yè)規(guī)劃 –?修改版中說到了供職于一些偏遠地區(qū)的政府，通過對當?shù)貧v史情況的分析調整目前的政策；

③想要申請的項目和專業(yè)；

④1-2句話體現(xiàn)自己對本專業(yè)或想申請專業(yè)的認知 –?修改版中以及了歷史分析對政策制定的作用；

⑤不要過度追求語言的高級程度。通順的邏輯才是我們贏得招生官認可的關鍵；

⑥Why school需要我們在后面用一定的篇幅專門說，而不是在開頭段一筆帶過。

一篇好的PS，光看開頭是不夠的。我們需要把自己的經歷通過一定的邏輯串聯(lián)在一起。但是，萬事開頭難。希望大家一定要用心打磨PS的開頭段呦。
