India to remain fastest growing major economy in next decade: Report

NEW DELHI: India will remain the fastest growing major economy, much ahead of China, in the next decade 2019-28, according to a global economic research report.

一份全球經(jīng)濟研究報告稱，在2019-28年的未來十年，印度仍將是增長最快的主要經(jīng)濟體，遙遙領(lǐng)先于中國。

The report prepared by Oxford Economics, which is engaged in global forecasting and quantitative analysis, said that India is likely to achieve an average growth of 6.5 per cent in 2019-28, the highest among the emerging economies.

從事全球預(yù)測和定量分析的牛津經(jīng)濟研究院編纂的這份報告顯示，印度可能在2019年至2018年期間實現(xiàn)6.5%的平均增長，是新興經(jīng)濟體中最高的。

Major saving is required for sustained rapid growth in emerging economies," it said, adding that TFP growth driven by innovation and R&D, especially in middle income countries.

“新興經(jīng)濟體持續(xù)快速增長需要大量儲蓄，”報告補充稱，TFP（全要素生產(chǎn)率）增長由創(chuàng)新和研發(fā)驅(qū)動，尤其是在中等收入國家。

India is projected to grow at 7.5 per cent in 2019 and 7.7 per cent in 2020, more than China's estimated growth of 6.2 per cent in these two years, according to the International Monetary Fund's recent World Economy Outlook update。

國際貨幣基金組織最近更新的《世界經(jīng)濟展望》顯示，預(yù)計印度2019年和2020年的經(jīng)濟增長率分別為7.5%和7.7%，高于中國這兩年6.2%的估計增長率。

Doesn''t make sense to compare economic growth with countries like China. China grew at more than 10% for almost 20 years. We''ve never done that. That should be the goal of government along with job creation, reforming education health care, judiciary, police and reducing corruption big time. Just trumpeting 7% growth rates is useless, we can do much better as a nation!!?
