Laura Burian

Laura Burian is the Dean of Teaching, Learning, and Faculty Development, and professor of Chinese/English translation and interpretation at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS).

After graduating from the Institute’s Chinese Translation and Interpretation program in the 1990s, Dean Burian moved to China where she first served as Assistant Director of the Duke Study in China Program, then became an in-house Chinese/English translator/interpreter/legal assistant in the Beijing office of a New York law firm, and then became a freelancer. She maintains a dynamic portfolio of high-profile translation and interpretation clients in both the public and private sector.

李長栓教授

北京外國語大學高級翻譯學院教授、副院長，1996年畢業(yè)于北京外國語大學高級翻譯學院，取得碩士學位；是聯(lián)合國兼職譯審和活躍的口譯員，有數(shù)百萬字的筆譯經(jīng)驗和上千次會議的口譯經(jīng)驗。主要著作有：《非文學翻譯理論與實踐》（中譯公司）、《非文學翻譯》（外研社）、《理解與表達：漢英翻譯案例講評》（外文社，與施曉菁合著）、《理解與表達：英漢口譯案例講評》（外研社）、《聯(lián)合國文件翻譯教程》（中譯公司，與陳達遵合著）、《漢英翻譯譯注評》（清華大學出版社）、《聯(lián)合國文件翻譯譯注評》（清華大學出版社，2020）《北外高翻筆譯課》(中譯出版社，2020)、《法律術(shù)語翻譯二十講》(商務(wù)印書館，2020)、《如何撰寫翻譯實踐報告》(中譯，2020)。

Alaina Brandt

Alaina Brandt is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice within the Translation and Localization Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, where Brandt teaches about localization project, production, vendor, terminology, and quality management. Brandt is Secretary of the American Translators Association and Membership Secretary of ASTM International Committee F43 on Language Services and Products. She is also Chair of ATA’s Standards Committee. Brandt holds a master’s degree in language, literature, and translation, specializing in Spanish to English translation from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Prior to teaching, Brandt held various roles related to translation and localization production management at companies of varying levels of localization maturity. She’s helped to direct production of multilingual language products in over eighty languages, and she’s translated content to English from over twenty Spanish-speaking countries, including the United States, Mexico, and Venezuela.

王華樹副教授

王華樹，翻譯學博士，副教授，北京外國語大學高級翻譯學院碩士研究生導師，兼任中國外文局翻譯院智能翻譯實驗室執(zhí)行主任，中國翻譯協(xié)會翻譯技術(shù)委員會秘書長，中國英漢語比較研究會外語教育技術(shù)專業(yè)委員會副秘書長，世界翻譯教育聯(lián)盟翻譯技術(shù)研究會會長，《中國科技術(shù)語》編委等。多年來致力于推動翻譯技術(shù)產(chǎn)學研的生態(tài)融合，在《中國翻譯》《外語界》《外語電化教學》《上海翻譯》以及The Interpreter and Translator Trainer 等期刊發(fā)表論文七十余篇，主持國家級、省部級及校級科研項目十多項，出版《翻譯搜索指南》《人工智能時代翻譯技術(shù)研究》《計算機輔助翻譯概論》《應用程序本地化》《翻譯與本地化項目管理》等十多部著作。研究領(lǐng)域：翻譯技術(shù)、外語教育技術(shù)、語言服務(wù)管理。

Jacolyn Harmer

Jacolyn Harmer, born and educated in the UK, earned her BA in French/German at the University of Bradford before training as a conference interpreter at the European Communities (now European Union) in Brussels where she began her career, initially as a staff interpreter and then as a freelancer for international institutions and the private market. Professor Harmer joined the Monterey Institute of International Studies’ Graduate School of Translation & Interpretation faculty as a full-time translation and interpretation professor in 1985, combining teaching with her freelance professional practice. Her clients have ranged from heads of state and government to medical missions in the global South. A long-standing member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC), Professor Harmer served for several years on the AIIC Training Committee. She earned her Dipl?me d’études Approfondies (Master of Advanced Studies / MAS) in interpreter training from the University of Geneva School of Translation and Interpretation in 2003 and joined the MAS teaching team. She has since designed and contributed to interpreter trainer programs worldwide.

董妙子

董妙子，自由職業(yè)譯員，一級翻譯職稱。美國蒙特雷高翻會議口譯碩士、北京外國語大學高級翻譯學院同聲傳譯碩士。曾任北京語言大學、南開大學口譯課程外聘教師。2019-2022年全國口譯大賽出題人、評委。博鰲亞洲論壇、烏鎮(zhèn)國際互聯(lián)網(wǎng)大會、“紀念新中國恢復聯(lián)合國合法席位50周年”藍廳論壇、冬奧會北京新聞中心等活動同聲傳譯員。

Winnie Yung-Chung Heh

Since graduating with a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from MIIS, Winnie has worked as a freelance conference interpreter, taught interpretation at the Institute, and held a variety of positions in the Language Service Provider industry. She has held prominent roles for the past 25 years with LanguageLine Solutions, most recently serving as Vice President of Transformation.

崔啟亮博士

工學博士，對外經(jīng)濟貿(mào)易大學英語學院副教授、碩士研究生導師、國際語言服務(wù)與管理研究所所長。中國翻譯協(xié)會理事，中國翻譯協(xié)會本地化服務(wù)委員會副主任，南開大學、大連外國語大學、西安外國語大學等多所高校碩士研究生導師，《上海翻譯》和《翻譯研究》雜志編委。發(fā)表學術(shù)論文70余篇，出版專著1部，出版行業(yè)調(diào)研報告3部，編寫出版書籍10本，主持教育部、國家語委、外文局和全國MTI教指委等科研項目10多項。具有十多年國際語言服務(wù)項目實踐經(jīng)驗，先后在北京萊博智公司、保捷環(huán)球公司、傳思科技公司、昱達公司等中外語言服務(wù)公司工作，研究方向：本地化翻譯、計算機輔助翻譯、語言服務(wù)。
