上個(gè)世紀(jì)70年代，通用汽車在規(guī)劃80年代的產(chǎn)品計(jì)劃時(shí)，關(guān)于凱迪拉克的那部分就是打算開發(fā)一款比新一代Seville低一檔的轎車，以此來(lái)加強(qiáng)對(duì)奔馳和寶馬的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力。

于是在1981年，也就是在在第二代Seville問(wèn)世的第二年，凱迪拉克就推出了基于GM J平臺(tái)打造而來(lái)的Cimarron。

與頂級(jí)的Seville不同，Cimarron的外觀造型相對(duì)傳統(tǒng)了很多，沒(méi)有Seville優(yōu)雅線條，只有普通的三廂轎車結(jié)構(gòu)。

1985年，Cimarron推出了改款車型，其中的變化在于車頭大燈燈有所改動(dòng)，進(jìn)氣格柵的樣式有所改變。

Cimarron的中控臺(tái)搭配的是銀色飾板，同時(shí)堆上各種各樣的豪華車配置，再搭配三幅式方向盤，看起來(lái)滿滿的豪華感。

Cimarron的車艙采用皮革材質(zhì)包裹，同時(shí)又若干種皮革配色可供選擇。

結(jié)束了對(duì)皮革配色的選擇之后，你就可以得到屬于自己的凱迪拉克豪華車了。

Cimarron規(guī)劃出來(lái)的時(shí)候，留的車輛開發(fā)時(shí)間并不長(zhǎng)，這讓凱迪拉克的應(yīng)戰(zhàn)得十分倉(cāng)促，直接導(dǎo)致準(zhǔn)備不足，所以Cimarron面對(duì)奔馳190E和寶馬3系的時(shí)候一敗涂地。

在文章的開頭就提到，Cimarron是基于通用集團(tuán)的GM J平臺(tái)開發(fā)的，同平臺(tái)的車型有四款，其中Cimarron跟雪佛蘭Cavalier的零件共享率最高，相當(dāng)于豪華精裝版的Cavalier，而且價(jià)格還是Cavalier的兩倍之多，而且hi質(zhì)量也沒(méi)好到哪里去。用現(xiàn)在的車型來(lái)比喻，相當(dāng)于通用集團(tuán)想要挑戰(zhàn)C級(jí)和3系，就匆匆拉著雪佛蘭邁銳寶的平臺(tái)開發(fā)出了凱迪拉克CT4，兩臺(tái)車共用的部件還不少，而且CT4的價(jià)格還是邁銳寶的兩倍之多，你看消費(fèi)者會(huì)買凱迪拉克的賬嗎？

所以Cimarron的評(píng)價(jià)就不太好了：
