上個(gè)世紀(jì)70年代,通用汽車在規(guī)劃80年代的產(chǎn)品計(jì)劃時(shí),關(guān)于凱迪拉克的那部分就是打算開發(fā)一款比新一代Seville低一檔的轎車,以此來(lái)加強(qiáng)對(duì)奔馳和寶馬的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力。

第二代凱迪拉克Saville

于是在1981年,也就是在在第二代Seville問(wèn)世的第二年,凱迪拉克就推出了基于GM J平臺(tái)打造而來(lái)的Cimarron。

與頂級(jí)的Seville不同,Cimarron的外觀造型相對(duì)傳統(tǒng)了很多,沒(méi)有Seville優(yōu)雅線條,只有普通的三廂轎車結(jié)構(gòu)。

1985年,Cimarron推出了改款車型,其中的變化在于車頭大燈燈有所改動(dòng),進(jìn)氣格柵的樣式有所改變。

Cimarron的中控臺(tái)搭配的是銀色飾板,同時(shí)堆上各種各樣的豪華車配置,再搭配三幅式方向盤,看起來(lái)滿滿的豪華感。

Cimarron的車艙采用皮革材質(zhì)包裹,同時(shí)又若干種皮革配色可供選擇。

結(jié)束了對(duì)皮革配色的選擇之后,你就可以得到屬于自己的凱迪拉克豪華車了。

Cimarron規(guī)劃出來(lái)的時(shí)候,留的車輛開發(fā)時(shí)間并不長(zhǎng),這讓凱迪拉克的應(yīng)戰(zhàn)得十分倉(cāng)促,直接導(dǎo)致準(zhǔn)備不足,所以Cimarron面對(duì)奔馳190E和寶馬3系的時(shí)候一敗涂地。

在文章的開頭就提到,Cimarron是基于通用集團(tuán)的GM J平臺(tái)開發(fā)的,同平臺(tái)的車型有四款,其中Cimarron跟雪佛蘭Cavalier的零件共享率最高,相當(dāng)于豪華精裝版的Cavalier,而且價(jià)格還是Cavalier的兩倍之多,而且hi質(zhì)量也沒(méi)好到哪里去。用現(xiàn)在的車型來(lái)比喻,相當(dāng)于通用集團(tuán)想要挑戰(zhàn)C級(jí)和3系,就匆匆拉著雪佛蘭邁銳寶的平臺(tái)開發(fā)出了凱迪拉克CT4,兩臺(tái)車共用的部件還不少,而且CT4的價(jià)格還是邁銳寶的兩倍之多,你看消費(fèi)者會(huì)買凱迪拉克的賬嗎?

所以Cimarron的評(píng)價(jià)就不太好了:

1988年,隨著Cimarron在加拿大市場(chǎng)停售,美國(guó)的凱迪拉克工廠也正式停止了它的生產(chǎn)。
