????Two years later, the little prince went to the earth to visit the snake. After visiting the snake, he caught sight of Neverland by chance when flying. He was attracted by the beauty of Neverland. So he settled there. He met Peter.

????Peter asked:“?Who are you?”

????The little prince answered:“?I’m a little prince from a planet called B612.”

????Peter said:“?My name is Peter Pan. This island is called Neverland. People on this island would never grow up. I came here shortly after I was born. I have been living here for more than 100 years. But I’m still a little kid.”?

????The little prince asked:“?Is this a really interesting place?”?

????Peter answered:“?Yes. Life here is full of wonder and adventures. I can make friends with the Indians. Once upon a time I saved one of them, so they regard me as their friend. This is my partner Jane. We can tell stories to each other.”?

????The little prince said:“?My planet is not so interesting. It is so small, where the greatest pleasure is to watch sunset. It is easy to watch sunset many times a day on such a small planet. One day I watched sunset 44 times. I can also look after my rose, whom I love so much.”?

????Peter asked:“?Would you like to live here?”

????The little prince answered:“?No. I have to return to my planet.”

????The little prince thought:“?Maybe Peter is the luckiest person in the whole wide universe. He doesn’t have to grow up. He is just enjoying what his own heart really likes. He is forever happy and free. He doesn’t care about wealth, power or position, which don’t necessarily make people happy. Many grown-ups are striving to be wealthy, powerful and successful. They don’t know what their own hearts really love. They have forgotten that they all used to be little kids, who would devote their time to a rag doll. They are really unlucky.”

????The little prince said:“?But I want to stay here for a few days.”

????In the evening before they sleep. Jane told stories about her family to the little prince. She said:“?When my mother Wendy was young, Peter taught her to fly. They flew to Neverland. But some days later she left here and went home.”

????Then Tink saw the little prince. The little prince greeted:“?Hi, I’m a little prince from a planet called B612. I’ll stay here for a few days.”

????Tink said:“?I’m a fairy called Tink. When the first baby ever born laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into 1000 pieces. The pieces all went skipping around, and that was the beginning of fairies. There should be one fairy for every boy and girl, but children grow old too soon. Each time a child stops believing in fairies, a fairy dies.”

????The little prince told his story. He said:“?I have been to some planets where odd people live. On the first planet is a king, who likes to give orders and judge others. His greatest hobby is to condemn the mouse on his planet to death. But he never kills it, because there is only one mouse on his planet. He needs a creature to judge. On the second planet is a conceited man, who only likes being admired by others. The third planet was inhabited by a tippler, who drinks alcohol just to forget the shame of drinking. The fourth planet belongs to a businessman, who is busy counting his stars. He need stars because he wants to buy more stars. On the fifth planet was a lamplighter, whose work is to light and put out his street lamp. His planet turns so rapidly that he has to light and put out his light every minute. He has no time for relaxation. On the sixth planet is a geographer, who never leaves his desk and doesn’t even know whether his planet has oceans or mountains.”

????Peter said:“?Grown-ups are odd. I don’t want to grow up, because grown-ups are not as happy and free as children, and they don’t know what they’re looking for. So I flew to Neverland, where I don’t have to go to school or go to work. I can enjoy my life forever here.”

????The next day, Peter showed his daily life on Neverland to the little prince. In the morning, Peter went out to hunt animals for food with the little prince. He shot some birds down to the ground. He said:“?I enjoy everything on the island. It is fun to hunt animals for food. Life here is very simple and primitive. But I’m free to do whatever I like.”?Then they came back and roasted the birds on a flame.

????After breakfast, they heard the Indians singing and dancing. Peter, the little prince and the mermaids joined them. Peter said to the little prince:“?We often sing and dance. It is enjoyable.”

????In the afternoon, Peter went on an adventure with the little prince. They traveled through Neverland. They caught some fish in the river for supper. The little prince was interested in the natural scenery and wild animals there, most of which he had never seen before. When a beast came, they flew up to the sky. It was an exciting adventure. Peter damaged his cloth, so he collected some leaves to make himself a new one.

????In the evening, They looked up at the sky. The little prince looked at his planet B612 with his telescope. He told Peter:“?Look, that is my planet B612.”?Peter said:“?It is such a small planet. I see volcanoes and your rose on it.”

????A few days later, the little prince left Neverland and went back to his planet. On his leaving, he told Peter:“?You can visit me whenever you want.”

????20 years had passed. Jane had left Neverland and grown up. One day, Peter felt so lonely. So he flew to B612 to visit the little prince.

????Peter saw the little prince on his arrival at B612.

????Peter said:“?Hey, little prince.”?

????The little prince said:“?Hey, Peter Pan.”?

????Peter said:“?You have changed so much. You have grown up.”?

????“?Yes, but only physically. I have just grown taller, but spiritually I’m still a little child,”?said the little prince.“?The king, the conceited man, the businessman, the tippler, the lamplighter and the geographer have all died. Now their planets belong to me. They are covered with roses, who are descendants of my first rose. I’m still fond of watching sunset. I also love painting. Now I’m a painter. My paintings are popular with children around the universe. ”

????Then, the little prince took Peter to those planets. Peter said:“?Fantastic! You are a good gardener.”

????“Nobody in the whole universe is luckier than you and me,”?said Peter.“?A lucky person knows clearly what his or her own heart really loves. Most people in the universe are unlucky. When they grow up, they don’t know what they are looking for. They are chasing worldly success, like the king and the businessman. They are too busy with their work and have very little or no time for relaxation and recreation, like the lamplighter. They are blind to true beauty around them.”

????When Peter got back to the earth, he went to Jane’s house. He took Jane’s daughter to Neverland.On leaving the house, He saw a painting hanging on the wall, in which was a fairy. It was by the little prince.
