Well, I don't think anyone would like to waste their time standing in a line. However, lining up is social discipline that everyone is supposed to abide by.

Imagine if everyone cut in a line, there would be a mess, even breaking out fights.

There are several reasons for those who don’t comply with this practice.

One is in terms of their parental education.

That is to say, if they are from family where their parents don’t teach them to be line abiders, they are more likely to be queue jumpers when they grow up, compared to those kids whose parents teach them to stand in a line.

Another reason is they don’t realize the social ethics is maintained by all of us.

Only the selfish people would cut in line, which is really offending towards others.

Therefore, even though no one would like to wait in line and they would like to receive their service as quickly as possible, it is required that we’d better not be line cutters in public.
