Feeding wild birds throughout winter (and especially around Christmas) has long been a tradition around much of Scandinavia. While the primary aim is to ensure the feathered friends have enough food to survive the long winter months, the creation of birdhouses serve another purpose as well - granting their creators a closer look at their many visitors.And as you can see from today’s image, when building a bird feeder the only limit is your imagination. The owner of this collection of feeders, for example, obviously expects heavy air traffic in the coming weeks. One can only hope that the birds won’t find it a difficult to choose which spot to land on!
