Hidetoshi Nakata, Cavaliere OSSI (中田 英壽, Nakata Hidetoshi, born 22 January 1977) is a Japanese former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest Japanese players of all time. Nakata began his professional career in 1995 and won the Asian Football Confederation Player of the Year award in 1997 and 1998, the Scudetto with Roma in 2001, played for Japan in three World Cup tournaments (1998, 2002 and 2006) and competed in the Olympics twice (1996 and 2000). In 2005, he was made the Knight of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity, one of Italy's highest honors, for improving the country's image overseas. Nakata has also been involved in fashion, regularly attending runway shows and wearing designer clothing. Nakata announced his retirement at age 29 on 3 July 2006, after a ten-year career that included seven seasons in the Italian Serie A and a season in the English Premier League. In March 2004, Pelé named Nakata in his FIFA 100, a list of the top living footballers at the time. Nakata was the only Japanese, and one of only two Asian footballers to be named on the list. In 2018, Nakata was added as an icon to the Ultimate Team on the FIFA video game FIFA 19.

Cha Bum-kun (Korean: ???; Korean pronunciation: [t??a.b?m.ɡ?n] or [t??a] [p?m.ɡ?n]; born 22 May 1953) is a South Korean football manager and former player, nicknamed Tscha Bum or "Cha Boom" in Germany because of his name and his thunderous ball striking ability.?Cha was known for his thick thighs which showed explosive pace and powerful shots.?He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Asian football players of all time by experts, including IFFHS and ESPN. In 1972, Cha had been capped by the South Korean national team as the youngest player in history called up to the squad. He is the all-time leading goal scorer for the South Korean national team with 58 goals and won the 1978 Asian Games. He is also the youngest player to ever reach 100 caps in the world with 24 years and 139 days. After developing into the top player in his country, he left for West Germany and played for Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen. He scored 121 goals in two Bundesliga clubs and won the UEFA Cup with each team. He started a youth football clinic to develop South Korean football after his retirement. He managed the national team in the 1998 FIFA World Cup and also Ulsan Hyundai and Suwon Samsung Bluewings of the K League.

George Manneh Oppong Weah (/?wi??/; born 1 October 1966) is a Liberian politician and former professional footballer currently serving as the 25th President of Liberia, in office since 2018. Prior to his election to presidency, Weah served as Senator from Montserrado County. During his football career, he played as a striker. His prolific 18-year professional playing career ended in 2003. He is the first former professional footballer to become head of state. After beginning his career in his home country of Liberia, Weah spent 14 years playing for clubs in France, Italy, and England. Arsène Wenger first brought him to Europe, signing him for Monaco in 1988. Weah moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 1992 where he won Ligue 1 in 1994 and became the top scorer of the 1994–95 UEFA Champions League. He signed for A.C. Milan in 1995 where he spent four successful seasons, winning Serie A twice. His most notable goal in Italy saw him run the length of the field against Verona. He moved to the Premier League towards the end of his career and had spells at Chelsea and Manchester City, winning the FA Cup at the former, before returning to France to play for Marseille in 2001, and subsequently ending his career with Al-Jazira in 2003. Antonio Félix "Tota" Carbajal Rodríguez (Spanish pronunciation: [an?tonjo ka?βa?xal]; born 7 June 1929) is a Mexican former football goalkeeper. He was also called "El Cinco Copas", in reference to his record of five World Cups played. Carbajal made his international debut in the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on June 24, 1950, against World Cup hosts Brazil. He was the youngest goalkeeper to play in that tournament. He appeared in one match at the 1954 World Cup and in three at the 1958 tournament; at the 1962 World Cup in Chile, he became the first footballer ever to appear in four World Cups, also helping his team win its first ever World Cup match?when they defeated Czechoslovakia 3–1 in the first round. Four years later Carbajal established another mark with his fifth World Cup appearance. That record was equaled by German player Lothar Matth?us in 1998 and by his compatriot Rafael Márquez in 2018. In 2015 Homare Sawa and Formiga became the first footballers to appear for a record sixth time at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada. Rabah "Mustapha" Madjer (Arabic: ???? ?????; born 15 December 1958) is an Algerian former footballer who played as a striker. He reached stardom as a Porto player during the 1980s, being widely regarded as one of the best Algerian football players of all time.?With that club he won nine major titles during his six-year spell, including three national championships and the 1987 European Cup.?One of the most prolific Algerian internationals in number of games and goals, Madjer played in two World Cups with his national team, helping it to its first ever participation in 1982.
