The?Max Planck Graduate Center for Quantum Materials?(MPGC-QM) currently has an open call for?multiple fully funded?PhD student positions.

Seven Max Planck Institutes?(Berlin, Dresden, Erlangen, Hamburg, Halle and Stuttgart) - all of them world-leading institutions in their respective fields - bring together their expertise in the research on quantum materials and thus offer a truly unique graduate program in this intriguing research area.

2 Your profile

Are you interested? We invite highly motivated students with strong commitment to basic science from all over the world to apply to our international program centered on quantum materials.

Applicants should hold an MSc (or equivalent degree) with a strong background in?physics,?chemistry,?mathematics?or?computer science, have first knowledge of solid-state science, excellent English language skills and a drive to pursue their PhD in an international and multidisciplinary setting.

Outstanding candidates with a first-class four-year BSc degree (or equivalent degree) are eligible to apply for the fast-track option.

巫茂春博士現(xiàn)為香港理工大學(xué)機(jī)械工程系助理教授、校長(zhǎng)青年學(xué)者、博士生導(dǎo)師、獨(dú)立PI。巫博士2014年本科畢業(yè)于華南理工大學(xué)，同年赴香港科技大學(xué)機(jī)械系攻讀博士學(xué)位，師從趙天壽院士。2018年獲得博士學(xué)位后留組從事博士后研究，并于2020年晉升為香港科技大學(xué)機(jī)械系研究助理教授。巫茂春博士于2021年12月加入香港理工大學(xué)機(jī)械工程系。巫茂春博士主要研究方向?yàn)殡娀瘜W(xué)儲(chǔ)能，包括固態(tài)鋰電池、鋅基電池、液流電池、金屬空氣電池等。近年來(lái)以第一/通訊作者在Advanced Energy Materials, Nano Energy, Energy Storage Materials等刊物發(fā)表多篇學(xué)術(shù)論文。具體研究工作請(qǐng)見(jiàn)：

本課題組致力于開(kāi)發(fā)安全、高比能電化學(xué)儲(chǔ)能技術(shù)，包括液流電池、水系鋅電池、金屬空氣電池、固態(tài)鋰電池等。?

主要研究方向：

1. 電池中的流動(dòng)-傳遞-反應(yīng)耦合特性研究；

2. 界面質(zhì)荷傳遞與強(qiáng)化；

3. 高性能電池材料設(shè)計(jì)與開(kāi)發(fā)；

4. 新型電池結(jié)構(gòu)設(shè)計(jì)與開(kāi)發(fā)。

3?招生要求

• 博士后（Postdoctoral Fellow）:

1、具有電池/能源/催化等相關(guān)專(zhuān)業(yè)領(lǐng)域博士學(xué)位；

2、以第一作者在相關(guān)領(lǐng)域國(guó)際高水平期刊上發(fā)表過(guò)2篇及以上學(xué)術(shù)論文；

3、工作認(rèn)真踏實(shí)，有責(zé)任心和團(tuán)隊(duì)合作精神，具有獨(dú)立研究能力及較高執(zhí)行力；

4、具有良好的英文寫(xiě)作、閱讀和表達(dá)能力。

薪酬待遇不低于每月26000港幣，具體薪酬面議（能盡快入職的優(yōu)先考慮）。

• 博士生 （Ph.D. student）：

1. 能源、化工、電化學(xué)或材料等相關(guān)專(zhuān)業(yè)的碩士生或優(yōu)秀本科生，原則上本科畢業(yè)于國(guó)內(nèi)雙一流高?；騋S/THE/ARWU排名前500高校，加權(quán)成績(jī) ≥ 85/100，或GPA ≥ 3.2/4.0；

2. 熱愛(ài)科研，吃苦耐勞并具有較強(qiáng)的動(dòng)手能力；

3. 英語(yǔ)成績(jī)IELTS ≥ 6.5，各項(xiàng)成績(jī)不低于5.5；或TOEFL ≥ 80。若目前暫無(wú)英文成績(jī)，也可先行聯(lián)系，過(guò)后補(bǔ)交；

4. 以第一或第二作者發(fā)表高水平研究型論文者優(yōu)先（非硬性要求）；
