????Chinese people have been paying attention to dining very much. As a well-known saying goes, “Food is the first necessity of people”, eating is the biggest livelihood of Chinese people. Delicious and nutritious food has always been regarded as the basic element of everyday life. Chinese cuisine culture, which originated from Shang and Zhou dynasties, has a long history of about 3500. In the long process of development, Chinese dishes gradually are divided into southern and northern tastes in order to adapt to different eating habits.
????Although problems of food and cloth have been generally solved, there exists serious food waste in some restaurants and school canteen. Frugality and Thrift is the traditional virtue of Chinese people. To practice thrift and to combat waste is not a person’s business, nor is it a group’s business, each of us have the obligation and responsibility to save. Thus, to this day, our virtues have been praised by foreigners.
