Yuki:我聽(tīng)說(shuō)春節(jié)是中國(guó)最大的節(jié)日，是嗎?

I heard that Spring Festival is the biggest holiday in China, isn't it?

Jane:Of course it is. lt marks the beginning of new year and it's also a day for family reunion.

當(dāng)然是啦!它標(biāo)志著新一年的開(kāi)始，也是家庭團(tuán)聚的日子。

Yuki:我明白了。我從新聞里知道春運(yùn)是世界上最大規(guī)模的“人類(lèi)遷徙”。但除了這個(gè)我就什么都不知道了，所以我很好奇中國(guó)人是怎么慶祝春節(jié)的。

I see. I know from news that the festival travel rush is the largest "human migration" in the world. But I know nothing except that, so I'm wondering how Chinese people celebrate it

Jane: In fact, traditions vary from family to family But some activities are widely practiced.For example, we will tape red couplets around the door frame, have reunion dinner together and children may get lucky money from their parents.

事實(shí)上，每個(gè)家庭的傳統(tǒng)都不一樣。但還是有一些比較普遍的活動(dòng)。比如，我們會(huì)在門(mén)框周?chē)N上對(duì)聯(lián)，一起吃年夜飯，以及孩子們會(huì)從長(zhǎng)輩那里得到壓歲錢(qián)。

Yuki:真的嗎?這也太酷了!這讓我想起了中國(guó)的十二生肖，你知道么，就是基于陰歷的那玩意兒。代表動(dòng)物的，沒(méi)錯(cuò)吧?你的是什么呢?

Really? That's so cool! And it reminds me of the Chinese zodiac, you know, the one based on lunar calendar The animal sign, right? What's yours?

Jane: I'm rabbit. Next year is my animal year. So I'm gonna work some red items into my wardrobe, like underwear and socks.

我是兔子。明年就是我的本命年了。所以我得在衣柜里準(zhǔn)備些紅色單品了，比如內(nèi)衣和襪子之類(lèi)的。
