From losing all my footage from the day before to multiple expensive pieces of equipment being lost over the edge of a cliff, this day was the biggest disaster I''''ve had while traveling. We were so excited to visit the unique floating mountains of the Zhangjiajie National Forest during our 21 days in China. We battled the muggy heat on our hike and it was worth all the effort for the stunning views. Riding in the cable cars down the mountain felt like flying through the movie Avatar.

oh my, sorry for you. but in china you can always ask for some help, it may help you get your Memory card back at lest. even people dont speak english they will know you need help and find some one who can speak, make phone calls for you etc. and its for free. some times you can also try service line in china, it may not work, but some times it may surprise you. it depends on policy in different countries, and it will not replace u a new one. but it may help u get a new one with low price. i have some chinese equipments buy in france and i called chinese service and they did help me.

Beautiful, unique place. Feels like one of those places that are really worth to go to despite its touristyness, that is worth all the attention it gets.?
Meanwhile understanding the shame feeling of going into a McDonalds in a foreign country, I must admit the risk is huge that I would do the same up there if it''''s the only thing there is...haha. At least for a coffee and probably a real non-squat toilet :P A bit sad there''''s only a McDonalds up there though, instead of a great Chinese restaurant or something.
Taking the cable car at least one way is not a shame though, I would say. But a bit sad it''''s not possible to stay for sunset.

美麗，獨(dú)一無二的地方。感覺就算它已經(jīng)成了商業(yè)化的旅游熱點(diǎn)，還是很值得一去的，也配得上它獲得的一切關(guān)注與青睞。
另外，我很能理解在國外旅行時(shí)，走進(jìn)一家麥當(dāng)勞的羞恥感；但我不得不說，如果山頂就這么一家餐館，冒再大風(fēng)險(xiǎn)我也會(huì)進(jìn)去啊……哈哈哈。至少能喝到一杯熱咖啡，或許還能找到一個(gè)非蹲式廁所 :P
可惜的是，那里只有麥當(dāng)勞，而不是一家很棒的中餐館什么的……
我還想說，乘纜車下山也并不丟人。但是不能留下來觀賞日落，的確令人惋惜。

I was in china for 10 days last year and its a damn short time when the tour guide only gave us an hour to explore the entire places! Let alone if one of us were lost then we had to spend hours just to find the person..
God willing,next year i will go back to china for a fun trip!
