由于本課題組注重多學(xué)科交叉型研究，背景涉及電子工程，物理，材料，微電子，等不同專業(yè)，因此非常歡迎具有相關(guān)專業(yè)和研究背景的優(yōu)秀本科生、碩士生同學(xué)參與申請(qǐng)。

譚教授將于今年暑假加盟香港大學(xué)電機(jī)與電子工程系（HKU EEE）。譚教授博士畢業(yè)于南洋理工大學(xué)(導(dǎo)師: 張華教授)，并在加州大學(xué)伯克利分校從事博士后研究(導(dǎo)師: Ali Javey教授)。目前課題組研究重點(diǎn)是1)二維納米片、薄膜及其范德華異質(zhì)結(jié)構(gòu)的生長及電子(場效應(yīng)晶體管、邏輯門與計(jì)算電路)和光電子學(xué)應(yīng)用(光電探測器和成像傳感器系統(tǒng)等)。2)基于二維材料的光電憶阻器用于感存算一體類腦計(jì)算。

譚教授是2021年國家自然科學(xué)基金委“優(yōu)秀青年基金（港澳）”項(xiàng)目獲得者；在2018-2022年連續(xù)5年被評(píng)為“全球高被引科學(xué)家”（科睿唯安）；2020年-2022年連續(xù)3年“世界前2%科學(xué)家”（斯坦福大學(xué)）；2023年Mater. Chem. Front.期刊“新銳科學(xué)家”；2022年Small期刊“明日之星”；2021年J. Mater. Chem. A期刊“新銳科學(xué)家”；2021年香港高等研究院“Rising Star Lecturer”等。迄今為止在Nature Nanotechnology，Nature Materials，Nature Chemistry，Nature Review Materials，Nature Communications，Chemical Reviews， Chemical Society Reviews，Advanced Materials等期刊上共發(fā)表SCI論文150余篇，論文引用超過24600次，h因子70。其中第一作者（含共同一作）或通訊作者超過60篇，包括Nat. Project background

Today’s children and youth (C&Y) are immersed in digital media in the full media landscape that surrounds them across contexts. The Covid pandemic revealed inequal opportunities for C&Y to use digital media. There are differences in digital media access, motivation/skills to use digital media, and support of key persons (e.g., parents/teachers/peers) herein. Understanding mechanisms in C&Y’s digital media use related to their development helps them and key persons to act in evidence-informed ways to reduce inequality. A better understanding of these factors is especially important during transition periods (i.e., from kindergarten to primary school or the early years in secondary school). During these periods, deviations in development could strongly impact C&Y’s opportunities. Our aim is that scientists, parents, professionals and C&Y understand the mechanisms that influence the relations between C&Y's digital media use, their development and opportunities. Furthermore, we want to develop skills and tools to support a positive impact of C&Y’s digital media use on development and equality of opportunities.

We are a consortium of five universities (Leiden University, Radboud University, Utrecht University, University Maastricht, and UTwente), two universities of applied sciences (Fontys and Windesheim) and seven collaboration partners (Centrum Jeugd en Gezin, Stichting Lezen, Kids Connect, TNO, Nederlands Jeugd Instituut, Kennisnet and Lucas Onderwijs).

In total, the NWA project consists of seven PhD part-projects and one postdoc project. The ICLON at Leiden University currently offers one PhD position on?Children’s digital media use and their social development.

Key responsibilities

• (Research) Master in educational sciences, educational / (applied) cognitive / social psychology, pedagogy, communication sciences (completed or nearly completed);

• Experience with longitudinal data collection, experience sampling method, (advanced) statistical methods, and qualitative research methods;

• Social, organizational, and self-regulatory competencies;

• Good communication skills (written and oral);

• Proficiency in Dutch and English;

• Ambition to collaborate with schools/teachers/ youth professionals/ parents/youth;

• Ambition to collaborate with (inter)national partners and pay research visits to these partners.

Selection criteria

• Conducting the research (literature research, designing the studies, recruiting participants, collecting and analyzing data, preparing and storing data packages for sharing);

• Writing international scientific publications and a dissertation;

• Giving presentations at (inter)national scientific conferences;

• Actively engaging in outreach activities and disseminating findings to educational professionals and the general public;

• Active participation in the local and (inter)national research team involved in this project and in the research team of the ICLON;

• Following courses/training (a.o. in the context of Research School ICO and the local graduate school).

Our organisation

ICLON connects theory and practice of teaching through the application of academic knowledge to issues of classroom practice. Also, issues of practice form the starting point for research in, and development of, primary, secondary and higher education. The ICLON is an interfaculty unit within Leiden University. The Board of ICLON is formed by the deans of the faculties of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Humanities and Science.

ICLON has approximately 100 employees. ICLON provides the educational minor in the bachelor's phase and the first-degree teacher's master's degree, provides educational services and carries out projects for third parties within and outside the region, supports the quality assurance of education at Leiden University and conducts its own scientific research.

We offer

The PhD position will be for 0.8 fte for 5 years. The initial appointment will be for one year, starting September 1, 2023, with an extension of four years after positive evaluation of capabilities and compatibility. Full time salary range from € 2.541,- to € 3.247,- gross per month (pay scale P, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities).

Project Description:

The Ageing, Cancer, and Disparities(ACADI) Research Unit, within theDepartment of Precision Health, at the LlH, is recruiting a PhD?student to work on access to care in older adults with cancer.

The ACADI Research Unit headed by the FNR-ATTRACT fellow Dr.Sophie Pilleron is a multidisciplinary group that aims to improvecancer outcomes in older adults by acting at different key momentson the cancer journey, including time span from onset of first?symptoms to before cancer diagnosis.

With the support of the supervisors and advisors, the PhD studentwill be responsible for designing and deploying suitable researchmethodologies to describe access to cancer diagnosis and care inolder adults and to identify barriers to access to cancer care.

After a thorough review of the literature on the topic. the PhD studentwill analyze several existing survey datasets and National CancerRegistry data. Quantitative analyses may be complemented byqualitative research.
