Biotin is a natural and easily available small molecule compound of vitamins. Their combination has good resistance to various conditions (including temperature, pH, solvent, etc.), so they are often combined into biotin avidin system, which is widely used in molecular biology and Biological Nanotechnology.
Generally speaking, Biotin alkyne is in solid state. It is a biotinylated compound that can perform simple biotinylation on antibodies, proteins and any other biological molecules containing azides. The alkynyl group of the reagent can react with the azide part of the click chemistry reaction catalyzed by Cu (I) to form a stable triazole bond.
