本方法的項(xiàng)目用來(lái)測(cè)定使用在鐵路運(yùn)輸工具框架中的鋼性材料，如合板、木纖維板、硬紙板、模壓板和玻璃/聚酯壓板等的防火性。本方法的項(xiàng)目也可以應(yīng)用于由幾種材料合成的隔斷墻（例如合板及模壓板）。不能應(yīng)用于熱塑性的材料

樣品的下側(cè)與水平平面成45度角傾斜，暴露于燃燒的酒精火焰上。在樣品在酒精火焰熄滅后繼續(xù)燃燒的時(shí)間里，要記錄燃燒落下物和顆粒以及破壞的程度

記錄樣品以下行為：

—在酒精火焰熄滅后繼續(xù)燃燒和發(fā)光的時(shí)間的長(zhǎng)度；

—是否樣品燃燒至上部邊緣
