（一）主謂一致

名詞單數 —— is/was

名詞復數 —— are/were

主語為第三人稱單數（除了一二I,you, we,人稱， 單個）：he; she; apple; it; +一般現在時/ 現在時 ——謂語動詞--does，has

1. The teacher, together with some students, are planning a sports meeting. [2020]

??????are 改為is

??????法一：together with some students 為插入語可刪掉，the teacher為三單 謂語動詞用單數

??????法二[就遠原則：主語后面+介詞短語/非謂語動詞做后置定語 不影響整個句子主語的構成]：A with B; ?A along with B; ?A together with B; ?A as well as B; + be動詞由A決定

2. They believe business in other countries is not as competitive as those in America. [2017]

??????is 改為 are

??????比較級：as +原級+as??兩者比較——比較對象一致-》business不變

3. Every means have been tried but without much success. [2015]

??????have 改為 has

??????means（單復同形）“方法，措施” 做主語時 前有each, every, either, neither修飾謂語用單數；前有all, these, both 修飾謂語用復數。

??????success 成功（不可數）； 表示成功的人或事（可數名詞）eg: He is a success.他是一個成功人士

??????補充: mean to do 打算做某事； mean doing 意味著做某事
