Winter Break in Year 2015

2015年寒假

Loneliness was what he feared, especially when it came from both reality and his imaginary world. Senselessness had made himself isolated, concentrating on academics and discipline instead of any relationship. He undoubtedly knew that the toxic lifestyle would end his life eventually, therefore he was trying to look for some solutions in the holiday, to heal himself, or to eliminate his life directly. However, the answer to any question couldn’t always be easily found, whether the issue might be addressed was uncertain.

他很害怕感到孤獨(dú)，尤其是來自現(xiàn)實(shí)與虛幻世界的雙重孤獨(dú)感。由此而來的無力感使他孤寂，更加專心于學(xué)業(yè)和恪守紀(jì)律，而不是把心思放在和任何人的關(guān)系上。毫無疑問，他當(dāng)然知道這如毒藥般的生活方式會逐漸蠶食他的生命，因此他在試圖尋找一些方法，來治愈他自身的創(chuàng)傷，亦或是直接終結(jié)他的一切。不過，問題的答案從不是那么簡單可以得到，能否處理好這一切仍然是不確定的。

Linqi was depressed about his school life in secondary 1, though there were some inspiring people like Wanli and Yuwen, Liyin’s domination had significantly limited his social interaction with rest of the classmates.

解林棋對他的初一的校園生活感到失落，雖然也遇見了像霍婉理和余溫那樣激勵(lì)的人，但李寅的掌控極大地限制了他和剩下的同學(xué)們的交流。

When he was unsure about what exactly to do in the winter break, an old but firm voice came out,

正當(dāng)他仍不確定具體在這冬日假期做什么，一個(gè)滄桑卻強(qiáng)有力的聲音傳來，

“Hey, my lovely grandson, pack your bag and get ready for your tuition class I just signed up for you!”

“哈，我的乖孫兒，把書包收拾好，準(zhǔn)備出發(fā)去我給你報(bào)名的補(bǔ)習(xí)班啦！”

Being shocked for a moment, linqi thought it would be a suitable way to escape from annoying stuff by immersing himself again in the sea of schoolwork.

被震撼了一瞬，解林棋回過神來認(rèn)為，也許再次沉浸在學(xué)習(xí)的海洋之中也不失為一種逃離繁瑣事物的合理方式。

“Fine.”

“好的?！?/p>

As usual, grandpa Xie had sent him to the tuition class so early that the door here was still locked. Grandpa left after he asked Linqi to go home by bike on his own later. Gazing at the rolling door, the sense of loneliness had again came to stay with him, until he saw a familiar stranger coming to him. His name, Zhang Wenlin, always appeared on the top of the ranking board. Linqi had seen him many times when he went to the canteen with Wensun, but he didn’t have the courage to make a friend with Wenlin. Yet now it might be the best time ever to have an official meeting with him.?

像往常一樣，解爺爺依舊很早地就把解林棋送到補(bǔ)習(xí)班，甚至連補(bǔ)習(xí)班都還沒有開門。在囑咐了解林棋待會兒自己騎自行車回家后，解爺爺離開了。凝視著這關(guān)閉的卷簾門，孤獨(dú)感再次包裹著他，直到他看見一個(gè)熟悉的陌生人向他這邊走來——其名為張文琳，他的名字總是出現(xiàn)在年級排位榜前幾位。當(dāng)解林棋和文隼去食堂吃飯的時(shí)候，他經(jīng)常看見卻總沒有勇氣和張文琳交朋友。但此刻也許是絕無僅有的，與張文琳正式見面的機(jī)會。

“Hello, Zhang Wenlin. I have known you for a long time and it’s my pleasure to meet you there. Almost forgot to introduce, Xie Linqi, my name.” Xie Linqi made it weird as he was using a formal tone.??

“您好，張文琳同學(xué)。我之前就對你有所了解，與你在此相遇甚是榮幸。哦，差點(diǎn)忘了介紹自己。我姓解名林棋?！苯饬制逭降那徽{(diào)使得這些話語些許奇怪。

“Hi, Linqi. Good to make you become my friend. I feel honoured to be known by you.” Wenlin, with a smile, replied him with the same tone.

“你好，解林棋。有你這樣的人成為我的朋友是極好的。我也感到很榮幸被你知曉?！睆埼牧栈亟饬制逡晕⑿屯瑯诱降?/span>腔調(diào)。

“How come you reached there so early? My grandpa gets used to doing things in advance, so I came with him quite early.” Linqi was trying finding? some topics to continue the conversations.

“你怎么也來得這么早？我是因?yàn)槲覡敔斄?xí)慣提前把事情做好，所以我就跟他來挺早的?！苯饬制逶谠噲D找到一些話題來和他繼續(xù)交流。

“My home is quite far from there so I have to come earlier in case I couldn’t catch up the bus.” Wenlin patiently answered. When they tried continuing the communication, an old man came with a key.

“我家里離這里挺遠(yuǎn)的，所以我需要來早點(diǎn)，免得我錯(cuò)過了公交車?！睆埼牧漳托牡亟忉尩?。正當(dāng)他們試圖繼續(xù)對話，一個(gè)老人帶著他的鑰匙來了。

For these days in tuition class, Wenlin and Linqi sat together and explored new topics on the subjects in next semester, especially for mathematics. Their interest in study had made the friendship firm and they did cherish the time they talked about the proof to the congruent triangles and other interesting knowledge. Linqi indeed effectively released his own stress and felt delighted being with friendly people.

在補(bǔ)習(xí)班的這些天，張文琳和解林棋在一起探討著下學(xué)期要學(xué)習(xí)的新內(nèi)容，尤其是數(shù)學(xué)。他們對學(xué)習(xí)的興趣使得友誼更堅(jiān)固，以及他們的確珍惜一起討論知識的過程，比如全等三角形的證明。解林棋充分地釋放了他自身的壓力，以及在補(bǔ)習(xí)班同學(xué)的友好中感到愜意。

The tuition class stopped for some days due to the Chinese New Year holiday and Linqi’s parents came back from Fu City. On the first morning of the new year, Linqi was requested to stand straight near a woman causally lying on her bed, arrogantly speaking to him,

因?yàn)橐^年了，補(bǔ)習(xí)班停了幾天課，解林棋的父母也從芙城回來了。在新年第一天的早晨，解林棋被要求直直地站在一個(gè)散漫地躺在床上的女人面前，她傲慢地說道，

“You, a poor student. Even you are one of the top students in your class, you are far from the top in your cohort. Always listen to me and don’t get any duty to distract you from study.?Don’t play with classmates who have poor results. Obey what I say, understood?”

“你只是個(gè)啥也不是的學(xué)生。就算你在你們班名列前茅，你離整個(gè)年級的佼佼者還差得遠(yuǎn)呢。必須聽我的，不要在班上有任何職位來讓你分心。也別和成績差的同學(xué)們玩。遵守我所說的，知道了嗎？”

“Yes.” Linqi answered peacefully, he looked at the ground, ignoring the purposely ugly face on this unfamiliar acquaintance. She didn’t really know what Linqi had experienced in school, yet she was still educating him to show her definite control over Linqi. At this time, Linqi vowed that he would be away from her, he would escape from all these to chase freedom.

“知道了?！苯饬制迤届o地回答道。他低頭看著地板，試圖無視這個(gè)不熟悉的熟人那張故作丑態(tài)的臉。她根本不知道解林棋在學(xué)校里經(jīng)歷了什么，但她依舊為了展示自己對解林棋絕對的統(tǒng)治而來說教他。此刻，解林棋暗暗發(fā)誓他會逃離她，他會逃離這一切，去追尋自由。

Though he was extremely despaired due to that lady, his heart was luckily healed by the friends like Wenlin in the tuition class after the new year break. He enjoyed studying and was quite relaxed there. Except for one day, a tuition manager disrespectfully grabbed Wenlin’s practice paper and doubted him drawing randomly and didn’t listened to the teacher.

雖然那位女士讓他感覺到非常糟糕，他很快被新年之后補(bǔ)習(xí)班的朋友們所治愈。他享受和張文琳一樣的人一起學(xué)習(xí)。和他們在一起，他也感覺到很放松。除了有一天，一個(gè)補(bǔ)習(xí)班的高管很不尊重地?fù)屪吡藦埼牧帐种械脑嚲聿①|(zhì)疑他在亂寫亂畫，沒有認(rèn)真聽講。

“I was practising!” It was Linqi’s first time to see Wenlin’s anger, shown by the red on his ears. But the manager still blamed him and didn’t listen to Wenlin’s valid appeal. Linqi couldn’t speak out a word, as he realised that the problem of the extent to follow rules was not solved. At least I made some new friends, he thought, part of these problems might have been addressed.

“我剛在做題！”這是解林棋第一次看見張文琳如此憤怒，他的臉很快地紅到了耳根尖。但高管依舊在指責(zé)他，并沒有聽張文琳的解釋。解林棋一時(shí)無言，因?yàn)樗J(rèn)識到關(guān)于遵守規(guī)則的程度這個(gè)問題并沒有得到解決。至少他認(rèn)識到了一些新朋友，他心想道，至少他心中的一些問題也許已經(jīng)得到了解決。

The winter holiday went quickly, so as the leisure time he spent with friends in tuition class. The monkey boys, the mysterious fortune-teller, Wenlin, and many other interesting people in the tuition class had made his holiday meaningful. This experience had made him regain his own confidence, which pushed him to looking forward to the new semester, and new acquaintances.

寒假過得很快，他與補(bǔ)習(xí)班同學(xué)的歡樂時(shí)光亦是如此。吉吉和毛毛，神秘的占卜師，張文琳，以及許多其他有趣的人讓他的寒假變得有意義。這般經(jīng)歷讓他重新獲得了自信，也讓他能夠開始期待下學(xué)期的遭遇，以及新的朋友。
