A walkthrough of the first course of SR6.5- Wrath of the Dim. Flower, Icy Lakeside Golf, completed entirely savestateless.

The Stars are at these times:

SR6.5- Wrath of the Dim. Flower is a Super Mario 64 hack by Brodute. I did use a savestate at the start of each star, but besides that the stars are completed 100% savestateless.

Comments- At 4 and a half minutes for 7 stars, this is a pretty short video, showing how quickly it can be to collect them once you know where they are. I imagine this hack will eventually make for some good speedruns for that reason. I had slight difficulty finding Leaf, but besides that this stage went pretty painlessly.

2 Star Revenge 6.5 - Wrath of the Dim. Flower - (2) Sandy Water Fields [No Save States]

Comments- This level took very little time to explore and execute, leading to another quite short video. I was able to get all the stars without any hints on where they are, which doesn't happen often, haha. It took a couple of tries to get Shell because the shell kept on falling into the water, and I never did figure out the proper way to get up the ramp at 2:02, but fortunately my method works just fine? :)

3 Star Revenge 6.5 - Wrath of the Dim. Flower - (3) Burning Night Heights [No Save States]

Comments- I open the cannon and collect star 5 before I collect stars 3 and 4, since it made the most sense to do that considering the location of the cannon bob-omb. I had some difficulty finding the Bridge, Cavern, and 100 coin stars, but I received good hints on where they were and found them with not too much trouble eventually.

Comments- This stage has been one of the more drastically changed stages from SR6, which is always a good thing. It took me a while to find the Cage, Fall, and Jump stars, and then to figure out the actual way of getting to them instead of my ridiculous roundabout ways I came up with? :)??

At 4:08 to get the Cave star I earned style points in thebloody7's book by jumping off the boxes, bouncing off two enemies, and walljumping into the star without ever touching the ground. It would make for a sweet extreme edition video if there actually was no ground!

5 Star Revenge 6.5 - Wrath of the Dim. Flower - Stongest Ice Castle [No Save States]

Comments- I have always loved these Bowser levels where there is only 1 star (for collecting the 8 red coins), and this stage is no exception. I spent a good 5 minutes at the top (with savestates) in order to reach the secret sign- it was very difficult to reach

Besides that, it actually took me a minute to realize that the boss was a Boo, but once I did I had no problem with it.

6 Star Revenge 6.5 - Wrath of the Dim. Flower - (5) Star Tree Valley [No Save States]

Comments- It took me forever to find Roof, for some reason, but I was able to find it in the end with minimal hints. In case anyone is wondering, the star Toast is called that because the bob-omb next to the star talks about eating toast, which I think is pretty amusing. Tricky took me a minute or two to figure out how to jump to get it, but once I did, I was able to get it on my first try.

Comments- I struggled a bit to find Window and 1-Up? but fortunately I was given hints on stream as to where they were, because otherwise I would have been looking for a while, especially on 1-Up?? I kept dying for some reason when trying to get star 3, so I just trained how to jump and where to shoot the cannon in order to get the star as if it were a super hard star in an extreme edition or something, which is pretty funny considering how easy it is. I do the same strategy in star 5 as I did in SR6 AB tricking up the slope, since I do think it's easier.?

Overall I have the same grief I did in SR6 which is that I think this level is too big, but besides that I had fun with it and thought it was great.

Comments- That makes two levels where a star named Roof gave me a bunch of trouble finding it! I found all the other stars before that one. It seemed a bit repetitive that stars 3-5 were all deviations off the 1 path to get up to the top of the buildings, but besides that I thought it was a very innovative and fun take on its predecessor from SR6.

Comments- It's probably getting pretty repetitive to say that I found almost all the other stars first before finding Mima- probably because the short star names aren't pointing me in certain directions like longer ones do. I died more often than usual on a lot of my attempts.. I guess it's a combination of the high density of snipits, areas you can fall, and me just being a little careless. Or maybe this stage is actually harder, who knows.

With this upload I have uploaded 9 videos in one day! Definitely a new record for me.. I must be enjoying this hack.

Comments- Even though it was just the old SR6 level filled with water, it actually still felt like a new level! I'm glad the yellow lights of death didn't make a return.?

The boss fight I found very challenging- it took me a bunch of tries to beat it. A pretty simple strategy, really- stay on top of 1 fire flower so there is only 1 fire out at a time, and stand near the edge out of range of the circular flame in the middle. Once you get that down the boss becomes a lot easier.

Comments- This course is probably one of the most similar to the original SR6 course in the entire hack, which led to it being a little repetitive, but it was still fun exploring the new differences. It took me a while to get oriented to where all the stars now are and how to get around, but once you do it's not too difficult to grasp.

Comments- Not much to say about these stars, except that they weren't too hard to find or collect. I guess they were exciting because they were the last ones to get to 70 for me, which is something.?
