bash v
If someone bashes you, they attack you by hitting or punching you hard. 痛打 e.g. I'm so glad that you've finally given me permission to do what I always wanted to do in this chamber, which is bash the horrific system of neoliberal capitalism whilst wearing black tie. 2.

make (something) harmless or ineffectual. 無害化 e.g. Many have tried to reform and defang capitalism 4.
rattle off 飛快說出
say, perform, or produce something quickly and effortlessly. e.g. Now, I could rattle off statistics about the huge impact corporations have had on the climate or on climate change. 5.
toxicity n.
the degree of strength of a poison 毒性 There is so much toxicity in the plastic products that we are producing right now 6.
taint
v. If a person or thing is tainted by something bad or undesirable, their status or reputation is harmed because they are associated with it. 玷污 synonyms:
defile, sully, tarnish

ravage v.
A town, country, or economy that has been ravaged is one that has been damaged so much that it is almost completely destroyed. 摧毀 e.g. Having painted a picture of a world ravaged by the woes of capitalism, I want to turn to what alternatives consumers go to. 8.
bleak adj.
If a situation is bleak, it is bad, and seems unlikely to improve. 黯淡的 e.g. I know I have painted a very bleak and at times scary picture of the world 9.
offender v.
You can refer to someone or something which you think is causing a problem as an offender. 制造麻煩者; 造成麻煩之物 e.g. We can start putting in policies taxing corporations, who are the worst offenders of the climate crisis 10.
in a bad space
in a bad situation; in trouble. 情況不好 The world is in a bad space.
