Acetyl group octopeptide-3 is an elongated analogue of Akirelin, an oligopeptide consisting of eight amino acids that mimics the N-terminal of SNAP-25 protein. Clinical experiments have confirmed that octapeptide is a scientifically and reasonably designed anti wrinkle peptide active raw material based on the biochemical mechanism of human skin. It has become a popular cosmetic raw material for anti wrinkle use worldwide. Its efficacy can be comparable to that of type A botulinum toxin, but it avoids the drawbacks of botulinum toxin's mandatory injection and high cost of use.

肌肉在接受到神經(jīng)遞質(zhì)時(shí)會(huì)發(fā)生收縮(摘自A.FerrerMontieletal,TheJournalofBiologicalChemistry,1997,272,2634-2638)。神經(jīng)遞質(zhì)是在神經(jīng)元胞體中合成的,并貯存在突觸小泡內(nèi),當(dāng)受到外界刺激時(shí),一種對(duì)鈣有依賴性的胞外分泌物(稱為SNARE蛋白質(zhì)組合體)使突觸小泡釋放出神經(jīng)遞質(zhì),并經(jīng)突觸縫隙到達(dá)突觸后膜,與相應(yīng)的受體結(jié)合而發(fā)生作用。SNARE是由三種蛋白質(zhì)VAMP、Syntaxin和SNAP-25結(jié)合而成的。

Neurotransmitters are synthesized in the neuronal cell body and stored in the Synaptic vesicle. When stimulated by the outside world, a calcium dependent extracellular secretion (called SNARE protein complex) makes the Synaptic vesicle release neurotransmitters, and then reach the postsynaptic membrane through the synaptic gap to interact with the corresponding receptors. SNARE is composed of three proteins: VAMP, Syntaxin, and SNAP-25.
