[katze789]SM64 MIWS 2 [savestateless]

I started this hack a while ago, but quit it, since it's just too awful. Yes I quit something because it is too bad. I was still kinda curious how many stars are really possible and since noone else will do it, I had to.
I tried to download the video from back then to edit all stars in 1 video, but that didn't work. So I tried to window capture them, but same result, so I decided to just link the first 24 stars, they aren't too noteworthy anyway: worst hack I ever played: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzbBE0PNJWc&t=0s
Before I go into detail I want to say a few general things. The only really positive thing was that many stars looked completely impossible, but after a lot of testing and screwing around we found strats to make the viable, which was decently enjoyable.
However most stars are so awfully hidden, that you really can't find them without quad. The next thing is this really shouldn't be a vanilla edit. Why making the ground vanilla levels when almost every level is just a random parkour midair. And what I always say "test your garbage". To my knowledge 11 stars are impossible and if I didn't find cheese for a few things even more stars would've been. Will talk more about those later, so lets go into detail.
Course 1: 0:06 Not sure if it's intended to use the noteblock to get to the s1 path, but I didn't find another way. 18:20 Took me 30 min to get this jump with states once, so doubt that got tested. S6 is the king bomb fight, which is located at the original spawn with 2 firespitters and 3 chainchomps and that guy has 9 hits. You can't bring him out of the chomps range, since he just jumps back in the middle and there aren't really coins to heal. I did it with states TWICE, but luckily it has the wrong star ID, so didn't have to do it stateless.
Course 3: Patched framewalking on the first pole, but still could cheese the first star with the second pole lol 1:25:16. 1:27:26 This looked so impossible, but I guess was viable enough after practice, still certainly one of the hardest stars in the game.?
Course 4: Star 3 is reds in the slide (according to the name), but the warp to the slide is only there on act 4. Also the star has the wrong star ID, so it's double impossible.Other stars are act specific and s6 would also be impossible, since the noteblocks are OOB.
Course 7: Star 2 is impossible, s4 is on s2 path and the rest is act specific. The thing is so many times stars seemed impossible, but we always found a way in the end, except here, so I am wondering if there could be a way. I tried to find something for hours, checked all of quad multiple times, but there is just no way. Think I see what the creator intended, but it's not even close to be possible. 1:24:16 this also seemed pretty impossible. I even tried to firsty GWK, but that didn't make it. When I tried it again later I suddenly was high enough.
Course 8: You have to do a shitton of boxjumps with awful cam for a star, but I found a cheese (10:30). Not even sure if it's easier in any way, but it looks cool. 22:46 Absolutely no indication for this. What the fuck.
Course 9: 26:25 and 28:13 Amazing. Also lovely that you start with silence, then after a while a few tunes play and then silence for the next 10 minutes again. How do you fuck up music like that? The normal path is blocked by whirlpools and there is just no way you can get past them with the intended way. You can't even get past them with the normal vanilla clip, but I found another clip on accident, which was way harder tho and you had to do it for all remaining stars. 34:17 this jump is fuck and 35:02 was even more fuck.
Course 10: This level kept crashing in different areas, but it worked fine after a reset. 51:14 Homing amps with 1 hp are great. 53:29 definition of quad only. 54:20 and 1:00:09 took a while to figure out, but where interesting I guess.?
Course 11: There is a VC, but this game has no VC switch. so s6 is impossible. Even if you had VC, the cap just gives you a sound crash. Also I am not sure if I did panels intended, but I couldn't figure out another way.
Course 12: Only using the slide is an interesting idea and tho I doubt that's intended 1:42:35 is sick. Sadly you also get a sound crash here.
Course 14: Don't remember much of this. Did the entire stage back then, so I guess it wasn't that bad.
Course 15: By far the best level of the game, since it actually uses the level geometry and it has some actual interesting edits. Just kinda hard to figure out how to get to the house, but I actually found it myself.
Bowser 1: 14:27 Reds were absolute dogshit and I got so fricking unlucky.
Rainbow Clouds: Panels are impossible. I absolutely did not understand what the creator was thinking, since there is just nowhere to go, but after checking quad a few times I think I figured it out. There is that cloud with the 1-up next to the cannon platform and I really think the creator thought you can stand on that cloud. If you have absolutely 0 game knowledge, test your garbage...
