Monday 27th February 2023
I’m sat in seat L3-1 of the?Munich Olympiahalle, the venue for tonight’s show. Seat L3-1 isn’t just any seat, this seat is theabsolute furthest from the stage, I’ve come up here to take it all in, to look out over the venue. Here, this is my view:

Yesterday was a day off, which started with us all waking up on the tour bus, parked up here at the venue. I looked out of the window and the world outside was a?brilliant, white, winter wonderland. It had been snowing all night. We loaded our suitcases into a taxi and headed for the hotel. After checking in, I didn’t do all that much with my day,?I pottered around my hotel room, listened to a few albums, read a little, ate a sandwich…
In the evening I hoicked the collar of my coat up around my chin and pulled my woolly hat down to just above my eyes. It was -2 degrees! I had a ticket to watch a?recital of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons?in a beautiful old church across town. It was a thirty-minute walk to get there,?the week was coming to an end around me. People hurried past, eager to escape the cold, shops were shutting-up, restaurants stacking chairs and tables, the streets were quiet, save the odd tram humming down the tracks. I was?in my element, if not a little cold. The venue was the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche it was truly stunning inside, brilliant old exposed brick walls, pillars of stone and the remains of old murals painted onto now perished plaster.?What an experience?. I sat with my eyes closed for a lot of the performance.
(It’s now?Tuesday 28th February)
Sat in my?hotel room in Amsterdam. We left Munich at just gone midnight last night, drove through the night. We’ve left the snow behind us and are now back under a brilliant blue sky,?it’s a beautiful, crisp, cold here.
Me and Jess headed out for a run as soon as we got in, through the Vondelpark. It was full of life, cyclists and strollers. They’ve got something right here,?everybody looks healthy and happy, so many beautiful people. We got back to the hotel, showered and met down in the lobby, ready for a little stroll of our own.?I love this city;?I love this tour.
I’m going to?love you and leave you?now, get back to my day!
I really hope you’re well, wherever you may be.

Oh hello George!
Honestly? Reading your newsletter is one of my favourite things to do. It’s like receiving an old fashioned snail mail from a friend that is travelling the world and telling me about his adventures.
You know what was my latest adventure? Your concert! I finally saw you and your incredible band and that, my friend, was the happiest night I have had in a very long time. It was also my very first live show of yours after following your music for years. I danced, sang along and smiled all the time!
Now my heart is full.
Thank you for bringing golden sunshine into my tiny life! ?
Always sending much love,
Klaudia
