Unfortunately, if you decide to change your character's appearance in game, you don't get access to all available options. If you want to change your face shape or skin tone, you'll need to edit the .sav file.

1. Download the HxD editor?here?and install it.
2. Launch HxD and click file->open
3. Navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\SaveGames and inside there should be a folder that corresponds to your character. It would be wise to make a backup of this folder now before you go any further. Open that folder and find your saves inside. The most recently created file inside will be your most recent save. Open it.
4. Once your save is open, press CTRL+F and type "HEADSTYLE". You should see under the Decoded text column "Player0HEADSTYLE" followed by "FaceFemale008" or whatever face it was that you chose.
5. Change the number to whichever face shape you want. The number matches the order the face shapes appear in the character creator.
6. Save the file and voila, you have changed your face shape.

The procedure for skin color is exactly the same. Skin color should be directly above where it says "Player0HEADSTYLE"

Enjoy not having to play through the beginning of the game again.

EDIT: A few important caveats to avoid problems that others have run into -

• Do not change the size of your save file. If you try to do something that will do this, you should see a popup asking if you want to proceed. Hit cancel. To avoid this, you shouldn't use backspace to change the number associated with your face shape or skin tone. Highlight and replace the number instead.
• There may be multiple lines that say FaceFemale008 or whatever face shape which are not in the place that I pointed to. Don't change them. It will corrupt your save.
