This movie shows me one way of beauty-appreciation of blind people.Ordinary people appreciate beauty by hearing and watching almost,but blind people just by touching,smelling and hearing,which can explain why colonel looked so pornographic.People receive nearly 80% of information by eyes and couldn't enjoy a lot of kinds of entertainment without these two eyes.So you could see the pain of a man who have lived a life as an ordinary people.And also he wanted to enjoy life,he wanted beauty-appreciation.So how can do that?Sex.We feel better with women due to our animals'?nature.It was his the strongest desire.In the meantime,he went to New York to find happiness of living in luxury hotel,dancing with young girl,making love with somebody and driving Ferrari fast.These all are one way to pure happiness.

We can also see how a disabled retired soldier spent his rest of life.Much of his character was probably formed in the army camp.So he didn't know how to live with other people.So we can see why colonel treated people very harshly.Charley couldn't accept his character at first and his little grandchild teased him.He always live in a little wooden house alone.Army camp might have an significant impact on what happened on him.But what did he get? A little pension.That's not reasonable.

In the middle of this movie,he came to his brother's house without any message in advance.His blood brother didn't welcome him and his brother's family regarded him as an enemy.His dirty talk harmed every his family.But why did he do that?Later,I found this reason.Because he resisted for the sake of resisting.By contrast,Charley resisted?and?rebel for the sake of integrity.So in the end of movie,he called for Charley,for his integrity.

In this movie,I can also discover the disadvantage of China education.In china,we push child to learn adult way about how to treat people for adapting this world.But we don't have a deep thought about these values in the world and don't analyse them.only can we be happy for earning more money,gaining a higher status and meeting more material needs.So if in our country,this speech will not convince the council probably because they may think this boy couldn't adapt the world.

There is a question about integrity.How can we define it?Those friends betray him and let him take the blame for their act.Why did he still hold fast to his faith?I think we can deny a person because of his act and his character but we can't deny a person because of money because of any other things like that.
