There is a patch on the PC Gaming Wiki website for the ultrawide monitors. It has been working until the small game update on April completely broke it.

Steps to fix the game for ultrawide monitors:

1.???Install the latest DMC 5 version from Steam.

2.???Open run (Press "Win" + "R").

3.???Enter the command: steam://open/console. Steam console will be opened.

4.???Enter the following commands:

a.???download_depot 601150 601152 7701533325487627862

b.???download_depot 601150 601151 7789329420801082779

5.???Now you have to navigate to the folder where Steam downloaded depots (game files of the previous version) and replace the existing game files with downloaded ones.

6.???Delete the?re_chunk_000.pak.patch_007.pak?file from the game folder, because this file was introduced in the update and should not be present in the downgraded game version.

7.???Use the patch from PC Gaming Wiki and enjoy the game.

8.???IMPORTANT STEPS TO PREVENT GAME FROM UPDATING IN THE FUTURE:

9.???Open steamapps folder in your Steam installation folder

10.?Find appmanifest_601150.acf

11.?Check that it has the following inside it: "buildid" "11025947"

12.?Make appmanifest_601150.acf read only file.
