做外貿(mào)我就是這樣“套路”客戶的!
今天的這個(gè)客戶,名叫Ken,來自英國(guó),是我前徒弟J遺留下來的一個(gè)客戶。
后來,J離職,被我另一個(gè)徒弟G接手。G接手后,只發(fā)過一封郵件,之后這個(gè)客戶被冷落。
G離職后,這個(gè)客戶再次轉(zhuǎn)手到我的手上。
通過查看之前的郵件往來,我發(fā)現(xiàn)這個(gè)客戶并非毫無潛力,只是因?yàn)橐郧皼]有成交過所謂的“大”訂單,所以沒有引起之前的業(yè)務(wù)員和公司的足夠重視。
在對(duì)這個(gè)客戶進(jìn)行了一番分析和背景調(diào)查之后,我給他推薦了一款有針對(duì)性的產(chǎn)品,然而,發(fā)出后郵件卻被退了回來。
J之前建檔的時(shí)候,聯(lián)系人有好幾個(gè),以Ken命名的郵箱數(shù)就有三個(gè),被退回的是其中一個(gè)yahoo的郵箱,其它郵件的狀態(tài)均顯示“發(fā)送成功”,但是客戶并未回復(fù)。

1個(gè)月后,我把第一封郵件再次重新編輯后發(fā)送給了其它有效的郵箱,第二天居然奇跡般地收到了Ken的回復(fù)。
我的郵件是這樣寫的:
Hi Ken, Hi Kate,
How are you? This is Elisa from SJ.
From your previous emails, I got you were interested in 50mm pixel ball for Christmas tree.
Today writing to recommend you another smaller pixel ball, which can be used better than 50mm bigger one with cheaper price.
IC chip: UCS1903/GS8206
LED Type: SMD3535 RGB LED
LED QTY: 2leds
Voltage: DC12V
Any parts can be customized if needed. Please find attached specification for your reference.
If you want samples or any comments, please contact me without hesitate.

從Ken的回復(fù)中得知,他是想要樣品和價(jià)格目錄的。
因?yàn)槭抢峡蛻?,再加上很久沒有合作了,除非是現(xiàn)在有新項(xiàng)目要用到,否則,如果按公司的政策發(fā)免費(fèi)樣品,并讓他來承擔(dān)運(yùn)費(fèi)的話,就會(huì)直接澆滅他想要樣品的欲望。
因?yàn)檫@種情況,在其它客戶尤其是老客戶身上,發(fā)生過很多次。
對(duì)于其它的老客戶,我的做法是,這次他感興趣的樣品,可以隨他之后大貨訂單一起發(fā)。
這樣既可以讓他享受到免費(fèi)樣品,又可以省去一筆不必要支出的運(yùn)費(fèi)。
而對(duì)于Ken,這樣的做法顯然是不可取的。
因?yàn)?,他已?jīng)有在合作的新廠家了,本身只是對(duì)新產(chǎn)品感興趣,想要的欲望并不強(qiáng)烈。對(duì)于一個(gè)可有可無的東西,還要再額外支付費(fèi)用,他肯定是不樂意的。
我們可以試想一下,如果我們自己是Ken,這種情況下,除非廠家包郵給我們,否則誰愿意再花幾十塊運(yùn)費(fèi)去索要一個(gè)不那么急需的東西呢?
于是,鑒于這種情形,也為了能把已流失的老客戶拉回,我找領(lǐng)導(dǎo)申請(qǐng)了“免費(fèi)樣品+包郵”,然而領(lǐng)導(dǎo)卻因“這個(gè)客戶以前沒怎么下過單”為由,拒絕了我的請(qǐng)求。
后來,在我的據(jù)理力爭(zhēng)下,領(lǐng)導(dǎo)給我了一個(gè)模棱兩可的回答:
包不包郵,你自己拿主意!
說實(shí)話,剛開始我內(nèi)心是有些許憤怒的,有那么一刻我甚至想:“老板都這種態(tài)度,我干嘛還要去試圖留住客戶,算了,管他呢!留不住拉倒!”
所以,我在之后的郵件中告知了客戶需要收取30USD的運(yùn)費(fèi)。
果然,不出所料,客戶收到郵件之后,沒再回復(fù)。
后來又轉(zhuǎn)念一想,我不能因?yàn)槔习宓囊痪湓挾艞壱粋€(gè)有潛力的客戶,這種氣沒必要置,或許我還能找到一種兩全其美的辦法。
于是,我又給客戶寫了一封郵件:
Hi Ken,
Elisa again.
If you really want the sample, we're considering to send you free sample, and won't charge you shipping cost, we bear it.
But we only have one request is that you have to test it and give us your testing feedback and comments.
Is it possible? Let me know please. Thanks!

Ken的回復(fù)如下:
I have now downloaded product catalogue although could not download any other programs, also in the products all the controller pages are distorted.
However there is one other sample I would like please that is ( P/N SJ-6016-24V LED PIXEL LIGHT ), and cost of item.
My Business name is XX and Mobile No XX or Home XX.
Yes I Would be willing to test light string and give feedback. I do have controllers and power supplies but would require connecting leads.
于是,除了原本推薦的那款產(chǎn)品,我答應(yīng)給他同時(shí)再發(fā)3個(gè)免費(fèi)的SJ-6016-24V。
幾天后,樣品順利發(fā)出。
Ken收到樣品后,給我發(fā)了一封郵件:
Hi Elisa, I have received the lights today and very well packaged. Over the next few days I will find time to test them and send you my feedback, Regards Ken.
大概半個(gè)月后,我又跟進(jìn)了一封郵件:
Hi Ken,
How are you?
The sample has been recevied for several days. Could I get any testing feedback please?

Ken的反饋如下:
Hi Elisa, Both samples work with the quality I had expected. The New string sequences and chases perfectly and for the size is quite bright. The only recommendation that I could find is maybe you could offer 3 separation of balls variations. So could you please quote me for 30 pixel 60mm lights and 30 strings with 6 input connecting leads.

反饋中得知,他不光對(duì)樣品進(jìn)行了測(cè)試并肯定的質(zhì)量,同時(shí),還準(zhǔn)備再下一張新訂單,雖然數(shù)量不多。
我相信,這張新訂單只是我們?cè)俅魏献鞯男碌拈_始。
通過此次免費(fèi)樣品,我也相信Ken對(duì)我的印象會(huì)更加深刻,這才是我的最終目的。
我曾經(jīng)不止一次地說過,
想要讓客戶下單,需要慢慢來,一步一步走。而最難走的一步莫過于讓他記住你。
只有當(dāng)客戶對(duì)業(yè)務(wù)員有印象了,他才會(huì)對(duì)你之后的跟進(jìn)做出更多有效反饋,如此,成單也就不遠(yuǎn)了。
另外,我還想說:
業(yè)務(wù)員成單不是為了公司,也不是為了老板,而是為了自己。這不單單只是提成上的收獲,還有業(yè)務(wù)能力上的不斷提升。別為了一時(shí)置氣,而讓自己白白斷送了一次成長(zhǎng)的機(jī)會(huì)!
