范文:
In the present-day society, there has been a heated debate revolving around whether?paying taxes to the government is reasonable for ordinary citizens.?This issue is not as simplistic as many people think, so I will elucidate闡釋?it from both sides before voicing my own perspective.
?
The?resentment憎恨?of taxation?is usually?stemming from源自于?people’s misunderstanding of its?principles原理.?They?solely?ascribe歸因于?their financial success to their own?diligence勤奮, perseverance毅力?and persistence堅(jiān)持, deeming governmental?levies賦稅?as heavy burdens of their life.?
?
However, I think people who harbor持有?the pessimistic悲觀的?view about?taxation?usually turn a blind eye to對…熟視無睹?the benefits of it.?First and foremost, taxation is a vital method of?redistribution再分配?of national wealth, which levies a larger portion of?wealthypeople’s income to subsidize?the disadvantaged窮人. It is the?detailed細(xì)致的?laws of tax that?address?the?disparity差異?between different?social classes社會階層, avoidingsome?underlying潛在的?social?conflicts and friction矛盾沖突.?Furthermore,?tax money is the major source of public funds,?one of whose essential roles is?to maintain countries’?infrastructure基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施?and?guarantee?people’s wellbeing.?The construction of public facilities, like parks, squares, avenues, hospitals and?stadiums體育館are all?sponsored by the budgets?allocated分配?from the government, which is actually from those hardworking?taxpayers納稅人. If there was no one willing to pay tax to the country, they would also not?be entitled to有權(quán)做某事?enjoy the wellbeing provided by it, including?healthcare醫(yī)保, compulsory education義務(wù)教育, pension養(yǎng)老金?and so on.?
?
In a nutshell簡而言之,?although considered as a financial burden by some,?we can?still?see the?rationale根本原因of taxation: what is?harvested收獲?from the public is finally used on the?amelioration改善?of social benefits.?270
