Backmarker

被套圈車手

A term used to describe a driver at the rear end of the field, often when he is encountered by the race leaders. Blue flags are used to inform the backmarker when he should let a faster car past.

一個術(shù)語,用來描述在賽道末尾的車手,通常是在他被領(lǐng)跑者遇到的時候。藍(lán)旗是用來通知后面的人什么時候該讓開得更快的車過去。


Ballast

壓艙物

Weights fixed around the car to maximise its balance and bring it up to the minimum weight limit.

Bargeboard

The piece of bodywork mounted vertically between the front wheels and the start of the sidepods to help smooth the airflow around the sides of the car.

Blistering

The consequence of a tyre, or part of a tyre, overheating. Excess heat can cause rubber to soften and break away in chunks from the body of the tyre. Blistering can be caused by the selection of an inappropriate tyre compound (for example, one that is too soft for circuit conditions), too high tyre pressure, or an improperly set up car.

Blue Flag

In F1, the "blue flag" is a signal used to warn backmarkers that they are about to be lapped by the leading cars. The flag instructs the backmarkers to yield and allow the faster cars to pass without impeding the ongoing race of the leading drivers.

When barked as an instruction to a driver over the radio, it means that they need to pit. Used as a noun, it refers to the drivers’ servicing area in the pit lane. Box comes from the German Boxenstopp, meaning pit stop.

當(dāng)車隊(duì)通過對講向車手發(fā)出指令時,這意味著車手需要進(jìn)站。作為名詞使用時,它指的是維修站車道上的車手服務(wù)區(qū)。Box來自德語Boxenstopp,意思是進(jìn)站。



Brake balance

制動平衡

A switch in the cockpit to alter the split of the car's braking power between the front and the rear wheels according to a driver's wishes.

駕駛艙內(nèi)的一個開關(guān)旋鈕,可以根據(jù)駕駛員的意愿改變汽車前輪和后輪之間的制動功率分配。

以上為F1官網(wǎng)給出的說法,但是個人認(rèn)為brake balance更多的時候單純的表示制動平衡本身

In F1, the "braking point" refers to the position on the track where the driver starts applying the brakes before entering a corner. Accurately choosing and mastering the right braking point is crucial for successfully navigating through corners and overall race control.

在F1中,制動點(diǎn)是指車手在進(jìn)入彎道前所選擇的減速點(diǎn),這是他們開始制動的位置。準(zhǔn)確選擇和掌握合適的制動點(diǎn)對于成功通過彎道和賽車操控至關(guān)重要。
