And actually, personally, I’v been to Mexico once.I was deeply impressed with this country for its very diverse culture, for people with great passion, amazing food, of course, and also thousands, where even numerous different kinds of chili peppers. But, Mr. Ambassador, if you could just name one thing that you think is really really interesting, really unique about this country to our reviewers here in China, what would it be?

事實上，我去過一次墨西哥。墨西哥給我留下了深刻的印象，因為這個國家有多元文化、充滿激情的人民、美味的食物以及數(shù)以千計的辣椒品種。但是，大使先生，如果用一種東西代表墨西哥，認(rèn)為這個國家最有趣、最獨特的地方，向我們中國的觀眾介紹，您覺得是什么？

If I had to name one, the first of November is the Day of the Dead. Well, on the Day of the Dead, we honor ancestors. Notice how your ancestors could be your brother or your son who passed away. But we are not the dead. It’s the day that we honor the dead. It’s a deeply moving day, it’s a religious festival. People take it deeply to heart. But at the same time, it has turned over the centuries into the most amazing source of creativity in terms of arts and handicrafts.?

如果讓我必須說一個，十一月一日是墨西哥亡靈節(jié)。在亡靈節(jié)那天，我們要祭祀我們的祖先。請注意，也可能是你去世的兄弟或兒子等已故的親屬。但我們不是死者，而是我們紀(jì)念死者的日子。這是一個令人感動的日子，也是一個宗教節(jié)日。人們把這一天牢牢記在心間。但與此同時，經(jīng)過幾個世紀(jì)的發(fā)展，它成為了藝術(shù)和手工藝品創(chuàng)造力了的最神奇的來源。

I show it not because it’s great, but to show an attitude. It is the attitude of taking death or something very natural, something that you can join and embrace.

You can cast a new light to death, not just like mourning and crying.
