The recent decades have witnessed the increasing popularity of streaming services. Many film buffs prefer to watch films on their smartphones or the laptops. This trend has inevitably impacted the traditional cinemas. Some hold the view that audience has no need to go to the cinema with the advent of steaming services; while others insist that films need to be appreciated in the movie theaters. Despite the benefits of online watching, I believe, the traditional cinema has still been the best option for those who hope to enjoy premium watching experiences.

The new mode of movie watching win the heart of the multitude for its merits. When watching movies online, the audience could not be constrained by the time and space. They are able to download the film on their electronic devices and then watch it either at lunchtime or at the midnight, either in their dormitory or on the shuttle bus. The convenience and flexibility cater to a myriad of audience who live in a fast-paced modern society.

In spite of the advantages of the online movie watching, the traditional cinema still has its edge to ensure exceptional watching experiences for the movie-goers. The Imax screen and the stereo sound contribute to perfect watching experiences. In this way, audience would soak up the stories. Besides, the spectacular movie scenes and the well-designed visual effects of the film can not be fully enjoyed without the facilities of the cinema. In addition, a majority of audience would buy the tickets and enjoy the film with his or her beloved ones or the like-minded friends. To share a movie and connect with others in front of the jumbo screen, to a large extent, would add to the watching pleasure. Since films watched alone would not be more fascinating than those watched together, the cinema can still gain the upper hand in this respect.

?In conclusion, the audience welcome the idea to watch movies on their portable devices. However, it does not necessarily mean the movie exhibitor is no longer the best choice for the movie enthusiasts. The cinema accommodates a certain number of viewers and offer them a place to appreciate the movie and socialize with the others. The Imax screen and the stereo sound guarantee perfect watching experiences. Hence, even though the portable devices are favored by multiple audience, the cinema is still recognized as the ideal occasion for movie fans. And the film ticket is always worth its while.
