Water resources are widely used in production and living activities by human beings, which are mainly used in agriculture, industry and life. Following global economic development, the population keeps increasing, cities are expanding and water consumption in various places also continues to rise. The improper exploitation and use of water resources can restrict /hold back?national economic development, jeopardizing the living environment of human beings. Despite the fact that 72% of the earth’s surface is covered by water, the freshwater resources on land only account for 2.5% of the total water on this planet. The shortage of freshwater will directly threaten the development of the water intensive-industry in China.
