Cambridge University Botanic Garden (CUBG) is a focus and stimulus for science in the University. Our living collections, printed collections and archives, herbarium, growth facilities and horticultural expertise are provided for any member of the University, whatever their department, to use in their scholarship.
The Garden holds a collection of over 8,000 plant species from all over the world to facilitate teaching and research, and provides resources including plant material, horticultural expertise and facilities to research workers and lecturers.
Aside from teaching and learning, the Garden also provides a beautiful place for everybody to enjoy and benefit from – a series of wonderful landscapes through which to discover the drama of plant diversity.
Access to the Garden is free for students and is a refreshing oasis to simply relax in, explore at leisure or to develop your plant science, horticulture or botanising skills.
