王炯 ，1956年出生于上海
早年師從于王秋野教授學(xué)習(xí)繪畫(huà)
1982年畢業(yè)于上海輕工業(yè)專(zhuān)科學(xué)校（現(xiàn)上海應(yīng)用技術(shù)大學(xué)）裝潢美術(shù)系
1984年任教于上海輕工業(yè)專(zhuān)科學(xué)校裝潢美術(shù)系
1986年就讀中央工藝美術(shù)學(xué)院（現(xiàn)清華大學(xué)美術(shù)學(xué)院）視覺(jué)藝術(shù)系研究生
1989年畢業(yè)，獲碩士學(xué)位
1989年任教于上海輕工業(yè)專(zhuān)科學(xué)校裝潢美術(shù)系
1992年作為訪問(wèn)學(xué)者赴德國(guó)紐倫堡-愛(ài)爾朗庚大學(xué)研習(xí)并舉辦個(gè)人畫(huà)展
1993年至今在美國(guó)洛杉磯從事美術(shù)教育、創(chuàng)作和設(shè)計(jì)工作。
繪畫(huà)作品參加中美歐各地畫(huà)展，設(shè)計(jì)作品曾數(shù)次獲獎(jiǎng)。
青年時(shí)代熱愛(ài)寫(xiě)實(shí)風(fēng)格繪畫(huà)，中年專(zhuān)注于平面設(shè)計(jì)，近年則沉浸于水墨藝術(shù)。寫(xiě)實(shí)的繪畫(huà)基礎(chǔ)、潛移默化的設(shè)計(jì)的構(gòu)成思維和縱筆揮灑的水墨藝術(shù)相隨而行?，F(xiàn)代平面設(shè)計(jì)的點(diǎn)線(xiàn)面構(gòu)成理論與色彩組合，材料認(rèn)知與中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)的水墨繪畫(huà)的寫(xiě)意樣式碰撞帶出了諸多思考和困惑。Collage - 現(xiàn)代拼貼藝術(shù)顯然具有明顯的設(shè)計(jì)意味，超乎尋常的節(jié)奏感與水墨繪畫(huà)的結(jié)合---另類(lèi)因素進(jìn)入的一種嘗試。拼貼藝術(shù)結(jié)合淋漓水墨表達(dá)山水花草之美 --- 撕開(kāi)、重組、再繪、在裱托中繼續(xù)創(chuàng)作等綜合方式，將傳統(tǒng)宣紙轉(zhuǎn)化為多層結(jié)構(gòu)的作品。宣紙重疊，墨與色的偶然相遇，繪制與拼貼融匯而成的偶然性經(jīng)常會(huì)超越期待，展示特殊效果，形式上更具活力和渾然天成的神秘氣息。
