作為亞裔獲得奧斯卡影后，你此時的感想如何，這場勝利意味著什么？

This is actually a historical moment, so I really have to thank the academy for acknowledging embracing diversity and true representation.I think this is something that we have been working so hard towards for a very long time and tonight we freaking broke that “glass ceiling”.

這實際上是一個歷史性的時刻，所以我真的要感謝學(xué)院對多元化和真正的亞裔代表性的認(rèn)可和支持。我認(rèn)為這是我們長期以來一直在努力追求的目標(biāo)，今晚我們終于打破了這個無形的障礙“天花板”。

I kungfu it?out and shattered it and we need this. Because there are so many who have felt unseen unheard. It's not just the Asian Community, this is for the Asian Community, but for anybody who's been identified as a minority. We deserve to be heard, we deserve to be seen, we deserve to have the equal?opportunities. So we can have a seat at the table. That's all we are asking for give us that opportunity let us prove we are worth it.

You should never be afraid, if this is your passion. This is your love, you have to stand up for yourself and for what you believe in and for what you want to do ?And I think that is what it is. I'm still here today finally after 40 years, I get this it just goes to show we will win the battle and that's what we're doing.

你永遠(yuǎn)不要畏懼，如果這是你的激情，這是你的愛，你必須為為自己的信仰和自己的夢想而戰(zhàn)。而今天的我也正式如此。在40年的奮斗之后，我終于得到了這個榮譽，這也向世人證明，我們終于贏下了這場戰(zhàn)斗，這就是我們正在做的事情.

So don't give up, never give up. Because once you give up, then it's a loss, that's total loss, right, so yes, don't let anybody put you in a box, don't let anybody say oh you're past your Prime, blah blah blah blah blah blah……No, because we are proud. We believe In what we do, we love what we do. So light that fire in your soul, and stay on the path believe dare to dream. Because if you don't dream then it's impossible but nothing is impossible. Look at me. I'm here, so thank you.

所以不要放棄，永遠(yuǎn)不要放棄，因為一旦你放棄了，那就是徹底的失敗，全盤皆輸。不要讓任何人把你局限在一個框框里，不要讓任何人說你過了巔峰期之類的話。不，因為我們引以為豪，我們相信自己所做的事情，我們熱愛自己所做的事情，所以點燃你內(nèi)心的火焰，堅持自己的道路，相信自己，敢于夢想，因為如果你不夢想，那就不可能實現(xiàn)。但實際上一切皆有可能，看看我，我在這里，所以謝謝你們。

So in that way thank you to all of you you propelled our little gem of a film, yes, we had a huge beating heart but you propelled us to the skies and the world embraced us.

你的母親給了你什么教導(dǎo)，讓你銘記于心

I think mothers are very important to all of us. Because if without for them, none of us would be sitting in this room to start off with, but I what the most important thing is my mother has always instilled in me confidence , taught me about love, taught me about kindness and compassion.

我認(rèn)為母親對我們所有人都非常重要，因為如果沒有她們，我們中的任何人都不可能坐在這個房間里，但我認(rèn)為最重要的是，我的母親總是在我身上灌輸自信，教會我關(guān)于愛、善良和同情的道理。

I'm not very very good at that at times. And actually the recent thing that she asked me to do is don't wear pants to the Oscar.I think what mothers do is they're constantly reminding you to be better and they do it with love and they do it. Because they really want you to be better, so you have more opportunities and you will have a better life and that for them is their ultimate goal.
