why do people sometimes go to other cities or countries to travel ?

as far as I can tell , there may be two reasons to explain how come?some ones are?fans of?travelling to a different city or country .

1st?getting to experience cultural differences and another way of living is one thing , especially when we travel to a city that is?distant from?where we are , there is always something shocking to be discovered and felt?, for example ,.....

2nd?learning something new is the other factor that pushes people to travel overseas?or elsewhere since?economic developmental levels vary between cities or countries , which means there is a chance to expand horizons , for instance ,....
