緣起：Esther Ofarim 的發(fā)燒名盤《Esther》出版于1972年，這位來自以色列的大眼妹用德語、法語、希伯來語、拉迪諾語、意大利語演唱12首短小精悍的小品，這些小眾語言大部分國(guó)人都不會(huì)讀更不認(rèn)識(shí)。如果不是美人歌藝實(shí)在了得，否則無論如何不會(huì)風(fēng)靡世界數(shù)十年。畢竟這些語言對(duì)于歐美國(guó)家來說，也算是小眾。

本人機(jī)緣之下接觸這張專輯，一聽鐘情，雖然被歌者清理婉轉(zhuǎn)高低自如的嗓音迷得三月不識(shí)肉味，但時(shí)間久了難免好奇，她究竟在唱些什么？

帶著這樣的疑問，多年來，我不斷搜索歌詞，終于讓我積少成多有了些許發(fā)現(xiàn)。

原來在 Esther的官網(wǎng) http://www.esther-ofarim.de/Disco.htm 有原版語言的歌詞以及翻譯，不過可惜的是大部分曲目有的都是德語翻譯、法語翻譯，英語翻譯甚少，中文譯文想都別想。而我對(duì)這兩樣語言幾乎一無所知，試著借助百度翻譯，翻譯的中文語句不通，更不用說像歌詞了。

功夫不負(fù)有心人，在一個(gè)翻譯歌詞的網(wǎng)站上（ https://lyricstranslate.com/ ），我終于發(fā)現(xiàn)了有些歌給人神奇地翻譯成了英文，這樣再轉(zhuǎn)譯起來，對(duì)我來說就容易多了，因此一開始我試著把其中的12首翻譯出了9首，稍微試著通順了一下語句。

意外的是，隨后因?yàn)樵贓sther的官網(wǎng)留言求助，站長(zhǎng)給我回復(fù)郵件，并把剩余的3首也幫我翻譯成了英文，這樣整張專輯算是勉強(qiáng)翻譯完了，不過也有遺憾，其中最大的遺憾是《 Nique nac no muse!》，始終不知道這個(gè)關(guān)鍵的句子該怎么翻譯，只能留待將來再說。

雖然轉(zhuǎn)譯會(huì)伴隨著語義流失，甚至可能會(huì)有錯(cuò)誤，無法與直譯像媲美，不過這已經(jīng)讓我雀躍不已，終于能稍微知道Esther Ofarim 在唱什么。也期待方家共同探討，破譯 Esther Ofarim 歌詞背后的秘密。
