【人物故事·女性】傅瑩:女人的成功不一定要受到社會的評判,而是來源于她的感受 丨

the success of women is not necessarily being judged by the society, is how she feels about herself. If she is optimistic, if she tries hard as she feels better about hersleves. Then she is successful.
I was born in a small city, in the north west part of China. It is a very safe and peaceful commonplace, almost everybody konws everybody. My mother is a very independent-minded person. And she pratically persue the study from primary school way to University after I was born. So you could imagine, at a center of a famity conversation was mostly about books, about reading, about studying.
The vague wish for life when I was young for becoming an astronaut, I was first time to hear the word, such a possibility to go to, into this unknown. But everything was distrupted. Because, you know the cultural revolution studied in China. All the school were closed.
My father had a long conversation with me. He said, my little girl, you need to remember, you need to do the work for ture. Because your father is not heathy enough to do his share. I did not know what he meant that or he knew that I was going to go though some very very difficult time. And he wanted me to have a purpose to try harder. Whatever he meant, it worked. It did work very helpful for me.
There is one occasion I was leaving for international visit just as I was leaving home. My daughter was very hot, she was on high fever. I was very scaried for her mother. I could not find a replacement was impossible the fly was deal. I think I left physically but my heart was there, staying at home. As a women, you take two jobs actually, you have family and then you have a social responsibility. And balance the two, I think it is a mission impossible. There is a sacrifice.
I remember, in the year 2001, China won the biding for hosting the next Olympics.
The news came out in evening on the television. My daughter left home right away after hearing the news. She said, how can we sleep? We won the Olympics. But the presentation by the western media which I read was entirely different story.
The day of torch relay in London ended with many Chinese wondering why. So I decided to visit press one by one in London. I realized at we need to be more proactive, to explain to the world about what we are doing and why we are doing the thing we do.
And I had recieved those of letters, and there was a letter, I remember, a old wome who wrote to me. She said, thank you for letting me wo know how the ordinary people think in China. And she said, you help me to see China in a different way.
Being a women, being a mother, may be we are more sensitive about feeling, we like to share with it to other. The real feelings, and we believe in human nature. We believe that, it is possible to break the political differences. And bring out the basic feeling og each other.
