Morphonology
Morphonology: it is concerned with the internal organization of words. Also it can be dissected into two parts, morpheme and word-formation processes.
Morpheme: it refers to the smallest unit of language which has its own meaning.

Classification of words
Lexical/open-class/invariable words: noun, adjective, verb and adverbial. It carries the main content of language. Its membership is infinite and unlimited.
- Functional/closed-class/variable words: preposition, pronoun, article and conjunction. It connects different parts of language together.
Derivational morpheme: it is attached to other morphemes to create a new word.
Inflectional morpheme:

Derivational morpheme can change the grammatical category of a word.
Inflectional morpheme can change the grammatical function of a word.

Morph and allomorph
Morph: it refers to the smallest unit of language which has its own meaning and utterance.
Allomorph: it refers to a set of morphs which represent the same morpheme.
For example: plurality? book+plural ?bus+plural? sheep+plural…
The allomorphs of the plural form morphemes are: {-s, -z, etc}
