Some people have suggested that the approach to address environmental damage is to live a simple life with less comfortability.

While I can see their point of view, I tend to have a mixed opinion.

There are some less convenient lifestyles that are green.

One is to replace driving by walking and cycling.

Even though driving tends to be time saving and flexible, the exhausted fumes are the major contributor to carbon footprint in cities.

Instead, walking and cycling are eco friendly while it can be time consuming in commuting.

Also, traditional electricity generation relies on coal plants in most developing countries, which aggravates the poor air quality.

If we could use some new energy such as wind power ,bioenergy as alternatives ,we would have sustainability in energy usage.

Despite the possibility, the cost is higher prices and it takes time to build new energy system.

However, there are other practical ways that can cope with environmental difficulties and they do not come at the expense of lowering living standards .

These mainly target business and industries that are more obligatory for pollution except for individuals.

In this regard, governments should impose stringent laws on those who violate the emission amount.

As long as vehicle providers or factories that release excess emissions ,they should be subject to penalties, therefore curbing their pollution.

Also, recycling can be implemented in our daily life for citizens.

The good news is that in many countries, recycling has been listed as law , hoping that the awareness of protecting natural resources can be promoted

With the waste classification and the development of recycling business, the speed of natural resources depletion can be slowed.

Overall, While living a less enjoyable life can be helpful to some extent ,some more pragmatic solutions are provided above that can better cater for environmental protection
